Honestly, I am sick and tired of social media and how people literally always strive for ego and attention.
Today at our school a fistfight broke out between 2 girls, why? Because one of the girls were mad that the other one had more Snapchat followers than her. This is honestly disgusting, we have become so comfortable in our own bubble that we cannot face and see our own problems and troubles that are currently ravaging Earth. Our society has reached peak obliviousness that we deny to fix our society's problems, and instead waste our precious nanoseconds on arguing with middle-aged men on Twitter and harassing minors on TikTok. Our generation strives for the slightest lick of clout, and boot-kick people who DARE to criticize them. We have become so disassociated and detached from our mistakes humanity has made, as the errors only get deeper and worser. Remember when romance existed? Those days are gone now, and instead we gallow at women and men on livestreams like wolves, to the point where true friendship and connection with physical contact is non-existent. That doesn't mean you can't fix it, the problem is that optimism is almost archaic nowadays, the reason why we literally strive for the past is because we are too afraid and anxious to strive for the future. Here's the secret your brain has been hiding from you, your life is horribly short. At this moment, hopefully when you have read this entire post, enjoy every picosecond of your life right now when you can, life is terribly short. So make it your best shot to live, that is the meaning of life. All it takes is someone to plant their feet on the ground and stand up, and if that happens the world will wake up and rise to the challenges, and finally bring back true peace and humanity.
Sorry for making this so long I was just dumbfounded by the situation that happened at my school
