Sorry this took so long
Ok?
@ShinyJDog1 currently both Ukraine and Russia tensions are really high now, and things are later gonna turn ugly as time goes on.
We're not only living in life, but also history & everyone would experience it. We may one day live through the events of WW3 in the near future (if WW3 were to happen) or even live within a time that a new global superpower rules earth, rather than the United States.
Yep, this is kind of a bad situation in history.
@NormalDudeWithaNormalLife but intrestinglly enough, would change the world if it were to go big. And yes wars do play a role in changing history as usual.
The reason why the countries around the world are what they are today is due to that of a single event that happened in 1914 which was a successful assassination attempt. And if that never happened, the world would've never been the world we know today.
Also, wars lead us to invent technologies never before, such as tanks in WW1, and radio in WW2, so if WW3 were to happen, new technologies would come in the war which would profoundly change warfare or human society.
Sucks that wars exist, but they exist for a reason, peace sometimes leads to nothing, so once so, we may just go to war with each other for some other reasons. Peace leads to war and war leads to peace and that'll be one of the only things humanity would never escape.
That is true, but not much of the population would enjoy it, as most would get killed.
@NormalDudeWithaNormalLife true for the citizens of a nation within a war, but sometimes, just sometimes, lives are lost for good so that we could learn how horrifying wars can be, & learn from it to prevent something like that happening in the future, but also learn the extent of wars.
It's pretty dark, all things have a strength and weakness, & all the warfare things we considered as bad can also benefit a nation for good. Pretty messed up indeed : |
Yep, very messed up.
Just to help educate you guys…
Russia and Ukraine have been fighting indirectly for over a decade at this point, with Russia occupying Crimea, and Russia setting up two proxy states, being Donetsk and Luhansk, located to the southeastern Russia-Ukraine border (not on Crimea).
The proxy war had pretty much completely ended a few years ago, except that now, the conflict has become a big thing, with people only recently talking about it and how it could cause WW3. I could think of many reasons why it (the conflict) has become so popular now.
Also, this isn’t the only instance of Russia having proxy wars with countries.
This is especially prevalent in the Caucasus region, with Russia having multiple proxy states in northern Georgia (South Ossetia and Abkhazia). Armenia is supported by Russia against Azerbaijan over Nagorno-Karabakh, an area with a predominantly Armenian population.
What do you think?
