[BEGIN LOG]
>> What? Where am I…? One moment, I was leaving the lab, but now…
Is this real?
Everything is… Yellow. And that buzzing! If they weren’t the only sources of light in this place, I’d shut them off. Ah, never mind that. Gotta figure out where I am. Where I need to go.
[Zippers are heard being unzipped. Subject can be heard digging through a bag.]
Okay… Aside from this audio recorder, I have my sling pack, which I put together for my trip out to the test site, in case of emergencies. It’s got rope, a fire-starter kit, a GPS and compass, some spare food — protein bars and such — large canteen of water…
[More digging through the bag can be heard.]
… and some other things. I don’t feel like digging it all out right now. It’s all small survival tools and stuff, like my knife. Of course, it’s probably worthless here anyways. It’s not like I’m stuck in the woods or anyplace more convenient like that. Where the hell am I, anyways?
[Subject is heard pulling something out of the bag. A few moments of silence follow.]
Can’t even answer that! Damned GPS won’t even work… Okay, let’s try this.
[Subject digs through the bag some more, followed by a moment silence.]
Nope… Compass is useless, too… What the hell is going on here??
[More sounds of digging through the bag can be heard.]
Huh… Might be able to use this.
[Subject continues digging, then is heard zipping that bag back up. There is a minute of silence.]
Hm… Alright, my phone seems to still be operational, although its GPS isn’t proving much more useful.
[Subject is heard dialing numbers, followed by the sound of dial tones.]
Dammit, I can’t even make a phone call… But… it says I still have cell service? Just one bar, I guess, but… What the hell?
Okay, okay… I can’t stay here forever. Gotta figure out where “here” is. I’m seeing electrical sockets in various spots on the wall. Might be able to use my charging cord for my phone or audio recorder when the time comes. Other than that, the only plan I’ve got is to take a look around.
I’ll probably continue to add to this log in intervals as the need arises, whether it be just for updates or my sanity... My hope is that I can eventually either transmit these as a distress call of sorts or maybe even just leave these as a breadcrumb trail for someone to find me.
Wish me luck.
>> Nothing new to report. Just yellow… Yellow and yellow and yellow… It never ends.
>> This carpet is gross. Moist. Probably why it feels a bit humid in here. I think I’ll take my jacket off and tuck it into my bag. It’s getting too warm for it.
>> I swear, if I had my gun on me right now, I’d shoot out every last one of these damn lights. Their constant buzzing is obnoxious.
>> Remember my previous comment about the gun? Scratch that… I just saw this freaky-looking thing crawling around on all-fours… Maybe 100 yards away? I dunno. These hallways and rooms just go on forever. I’m gonna see if I can go around whatever-that-thing-is. I don’t think it saw me, but I’d rather stay out of its vicinity, if possible.
>> Something’s not right. I doubled back a ways after seeing that creature, and the rooms are completely different… Is that just me? Am I remembering things wrong, or is this place… changing somehow?
>> The environment is starting to change… I’ve been wandering aimlessly for a while now, and the yellow is starting to fade away. It’s starting to turn into white. Did I… Did I just enter a different building?
Gotta keep going.
>> Okay, things just got a little interesting. I found a crate full of… Well, junk. But it’s not entirely useless. I found some electrical wires and stuff along with a broken radio in the pile. Maybe I can use these to call for help.
Alright. This audio recorder’s gonna need to charge, so I think this is where I’ll end the log. I’ll see if I can find a way to send this out as a distress call or at least leave it behind for someone else to find me. I can’t be the only one stuck here.
… I can’t.
