So I've been getting sucked into the Mandela Catalog series and my brain won't stop with religious yet unsettling quotes and this one quote I came up with before I clocked out for the day, "Death is only practice, Resistance is Madness.". And so for the last 4 to 5 hours, I've been brainstorming a level where its appearance relates to what the wanderer who enters fears. The fear will start at the lowest level, as if the wanderer were to be nervous or uncomfortable. But the fear inducing surrounding would get worse and worse, leading the wanderer to panic and perhaps mentally damage them to the point that they either go insane or uhhhhhh.......... exterminate themselves. And I was also thinking, what if there are no entities on this level but the level itself is the entity. And the "levels" goal is to annihilate whatever wanderer(s) clip into the level by either inducing manic thoughts or using psychological warfare.
A stupid add-on I thought of was that the level thinks of itself as a god and "requires sacrifices" in order to return to its "prime form". Haven't concluded if this is yet to be true or if the said level is just a narcisstic edge-lord.
The level can speak from its walls at times in order to induce more fear into its victims and to simply toy with the minds of passing wanderers.
The ways to escape this level is to either destroy something that has been made in the level because if you break a wall, you technically just broke one of the levels bones or damaged something vital. You can even talk back to the level and distract it by making it talk about itself or with a polite argument over philosophy and theories. Basically, just try to stay calm and keep in mind that whatever is manifested in the level isn't real.
Criticism good or bad is welcome :>
