As a former mod for a wiki myself (I will not list it as I would rather not get bombarded with irrelevant comments) I honestly have to comment on all this stuff of people asking for mod.
I used to moderate a server and to be honest it is still one of the hardest things I have ever done. Well you're probably "surely sitting on a computer and posting a lot can't be hard" , and your partially right, but there is a catch.
As a mod you need to: Consistently be active, actively contribute to the wiki, maintain your image and relations with the fandom you help moderate, spread positive attitude
These can be a lot harder than you would think, as the longer you are mod the more likely you are to miss something as the fandom grows or to just brush someone the wrong way, and you can find its hard to balance fixing the problem and avoiding aggravating/annoying the users you oversee.
Being a mod is no walk in the park as all eyes are on you, and one misstep can lead to being demoted or ousted by the very community you cared about so much.
So before you decide to ask if you can have mod or even just recommend someone ask yourself this
Do I see myself staying in this fandom long term?
How well have I handled my interactions with other users in the past?
Do I have the time to handle this job and my life.
Will I be happy doing this?
This is just based off of my experiences and I encourage you to go and make your own opinions and grow your own way! I am by no means saying you wouldn't make a great mod, I just want to make sure you wont regret it!
I hope you all have a great day!
