Apparently my last opinion post was popular and people thought it was informative so lets try again!
Lately we have had a influx of new users, specifically users in the 8-14 age range, and with this influx, we have had a lot of joke pages being created, ranging from Level sus to Spoggers.
Now there is a large difference between those two pages, one relies on itself and the concept for humor, the other relied on references and pre-existing jokes for humor.
I personally have no grudges against joke pages but lately they have been of a lower quality, I do not blame the newer authors for this as lots of people make the mistake of leaning too heavily on pre-existing fandoms/content to create a article or are simply made to mess with the staff altogether (they aren't paid to be here so please treat them like family)
The best thing we can do with this situation is to simply make more information/templates for this kind of content available so we can achieve the best content possible. Another thing we can do is instead of immediately blowing the whistle on them you can try to encourage them to grow and expand the page so it isn't a carbon copy of what its based off of but rather a creative interpretation of it that hints, but does not reference.
Hope this helps you all, cheers! -Blue
