Hey everyone, Crim here, and this weekly update gonna be EXTRA THICC!!
First of all, I would like to announce that from now on, Crimsonverse would accept official collaborations! The idea conceived from a discussion with @Thatguy5043 about a new group of interest, and then I thought that... Well, I am the author of the Crimsonverse, but I did accept collabs, so why not let people work on collaborative pages? From now on, any new collab pages would be included in the official page of Crimsonverse canon. Of course, you can't just insert whatever you want here, because it's my canon, so you need my permission first.
Next, an update to the Crimsonverse page itself! This one is about my definition of "liminality" itself, considering the recent discussion regarding interpretation of the term. In my canon, "liminality" is a concept interpreting the nature of the Backrooms as a place comparable to a maze without an end. A nightmare brought reality, as the opposite of heavenly paradise. Which mean, my concept of liminality is basically a limbo, the inbetween realm, the nowhere rather than the destination. I took this to the heart, making sure that all of my levels are otherworldly, to give the feel that you're not suppose to be there, and we didn't belong there. Quoting a popular author, the father of modern horror, Lovecraft:
"The oldest and strongest emotion of mankind is fear, and the oldest and strongest kind of fear is fear of the unknown."
This is why mystery is the main genre of the canon, as my essence of horror is the unknown. Another reason why the Crimsonverse rely on theories and speculations, making my content written in mythological manner, and what keep me unique from any others.
Additionally, I contemplate to move the Infinite Library and the Land of Predators to their own pages by removing the numbers. Why? Because both of them are unique enough to be considered as enigmatic levels, and it gave some chance for other users to use the numbers, in case they want to use the numbers. Right now, I'm still thinking whether I will move the pages or not, because redirecting pages are not an easy decision...
Anyway, moving onto the next update! There's a big update for the Crimson Wanderer regarding his relationships with other entities!
The Guardian: Basically, knightly buddies now.
King of Normality: Could be considered as his rival.
Mater Lunae: He respect her as a goddess,
The First: Theorized to be his acquaintance?
Jester: Has a highly enigmatic dynamic.
Hubris: Potential threat to the Crown of the Throne.
The Mail Carrier: Suggested to be the Storyteller's butler.
Of course, I already discussed the ideas with each authors, @BunniHyena @NormalDudeWithaNormalLife @Infinite Explorer @Schicksalhaft @SoulWithSorrowLaiden @Starnest but I will still tag everyone here to notify them about the update.
Next, there's a new tale for the Crimson Wanderer! "The Meaning of Red" is currently one of my most advanced tale pages so far. Unlike the "Cycle of Life" with its overly complicated coding, the new tale has a more simple coding, but divided by multiple sections. So far, this is my only tale with an explicit interaction between my entities, so if you're a fan on both the Crimson Wanderer and the Storyteller, then I highly recommend this one!
That's all for the update, but one more thing...
I might consider changing the "main illustration" of the Crimson Wanderer, because I found a much better, cooler and awesomer (is that even a word?) image, but this one is obviously a fanart of Lancelot from Fate Zero, so I'm not sure whether I will really use it or not. Regardless, let me share the pic for everyone to see!
