To me, The process of noclipping is incomplete, There are unexplained elements involved in noclipping. Such as the void, and failing, despite reaching a high speed.
There are 3 good ways to explain noclipping.
The first and easiest would be to not explain it. Sometimes a bit of mystery is better. The issue with this is its already partly explained. "to go fast enough to noclip." There are plenty of things that go very fast (bullets for example) and these dont noclip. We would ether need to revoke this explanation (to produce mystery), or expand upon it in its current state.
The second way is to expand on the current explanation.
In its current state, the backrooms (cite: The Beginning, and noclipping is intrinsically tied to video games.) seems to be a computer simulation where things can glitch. If we adopted glitching as the formal explanation for noclipping, this would explain why you can build a skill in noclipping.
The third way is to change noclipping entirely.
If the "collective conscious theory" applies to the backrooms, and the backrooms is not a computer program, then noclipping should be turned into a "soft magic system". (A soft magic system is one with loosely defined rules and uses) With noclipping "magic" wanderers can influence there ability to noclip by using their current state of mind. Speed only being relevant if the wanderers mind demands it.
The third-and-a-half way is to use the void as a extra dimension for travel. this explains why you can get stuck in it.
