So I'm planning on returning to the writing of Yellow Hell. One of the new ideas I've came up with is this race of strange possible god-like beings that I think I'll call the wayfarers. The wayfarers are believed to use the backrooms to travel from place to place. It's not known whether they created the backrooms or whether they simply adopted it as a method of transportation. However, many people do believe that they created the backrooms and worship them as gods. The wayfarers certainly must have great powers to be able to effectively use the backrooms for transport!
The religion of the wayfarers is most common among navigators. I've already introduced the concept of navigators on the supernatural abilities page. The idea is that certain humans can develop through practice the ability to intuitively navigate through the backrooms. These people are called navigators. The navigators who follow the wayfarers believe that the ability of navigation was granted by the wayfarers, and that through worship of the wayfarers, they may gain greater powers. Moreover, they believe that they can eventually become so great at navigating that they can journey to the place that wayfarers came from.
The wayfarers are spoken in legends. People who have claimed to encounter them have not described a physical form so much as an overpowering presence. Whatever form they possessed seemed to define all measurement, being described as overwhelmingly vast yet able to fit into a cramped yellow hallway. It was said that all of reality seemed less real in comparison. All this said, there are no confirmed reports of these entities. They are only a rumor without any substantial proof.
If anyone has any ideas to add to this, please post them. Also, please feel free to incorporate these ideas into your own lore.
