I reckon you change "we" to "I." After all, it the nature of the Backrooms in its' entirety is subjective.
I for one follow the belief that the Backrooms simply exist as a reality parallel to our own; and although things may seem much different from life in the Frontrooms, would someone born in the Backrooms not think the same about the Frontrooms?
And still, groups like the M.E.G have risen, proving that humanity functions the same in the Backrooms as it does in the Frontrooms; its' goal is to survive, and while endangered, it is best to unite in groups to do so.
My point is that the Backrooms is defined not entirely by liminality, but by its' unseen similarity when it comes to humanity.
Of course, this is my personal canon that nobody agrees with- I really don't get the "liminal" feeling from any level of the Backrooms on the Fandom Wiki. Nostalgia is a part of liminality that I believe is very major when it comes to the Backrooms, and unless something like Heartaches or, believe it or not, Ajoura's SCP Main Theme is playing, I really don't get the feeling very much. The former induces the feeling on some pages because it was the first song I listened to when I joined the Backrooms Fandom.
Basically, because the whole aspect of the Backrooms themselves doesn't really apply to me as much as it could (although it definitely does with the main 9,) my canon relies on the people, not the rooms.
And if you argue "it's empty," here's my argument: "it's a personal canon. "
I'm just stating this as it's my opinion and everyone else seems to be stating their opinion.
