Thats not how moderation works
Just some info for everyone here, the moderation on this wiki is pretty much nonexistent, so whatever page you make that you end up regretting is gonna be up for a looooooong time. I ended up learning the hard way T-T
For those looking to stay on this wiki such as myself (for the most part) just be careful what pages you end up creating, but if you’re interested in something with more moderation apparently this wiki is a lot better in that department

neat
My bad for assuming he made it up, but that’s the thing, he might not've been the one to make it up, but it is still made up.
Unless the person who made the original Backrooms post made that, it’s still in my eyes someone forcing their own cannon on to something that’s none of their business
lovely
Did you not read the parts where I said we need to change moderation? We have absolutely ridiculous levels like Level 5 all because some dipshit roleplayer on reddit said it existed. If a Reddit roleplayer said “I found the gateway to an inter dimensional limbo with a soul sucking kraken!” then the admins here are gonna confirm it as a level.
We need to start confirming things based on common sense, not who makes them up!
I feel the direction r/Backrooms and this wiki have taken the Backrooms is very problematic and is starting to show its flaws, that’s why I think we should rethink the Backrooms...
Allow me to illustrate my point
”Levels”
the concept of “Levels” I feel is restrictive and biased.
Once a level is confirmed “canon” that’s it, no say in anything related to the level beyond what is deemed “canon”.
Because of this system Levels such as Level 5 contain truly baffling details that only exist because someone didn’t have to ability to expand upon a previous level.
The worst part is the way levels are deemed canon or not.
If something about a “Level” is posted to r/backrooms by someone “Backrooms famous”, it instantly becomes cannon.
This puts restrictions on your already restrictive system as only “famous” people get a say in what a level is.
If we were to keep the level system, get rid of your biased way of deeming something canon or not. A level should make sense in the context of the Backrooms.
1920's hotel with people from the “olden days” who were famous for disappearing? That doesn’t belong here! That sounds like a fucking SCP!
I personally think we should ditch the concept of levels, in favor of stand out locations found within the Backrooms (e.g The End, The Basement, The Dark Metro)
”But DatBoi!” You say, “Levels have always been a part of the Backrooms, what on gods earth are you talking about!?”.
Well my friend, lemme introduce you to my next point...
2. Trend Based Imitation
The concept of Levels (correct me if I’m wrong) didn’t exist until a semi-famous youtuber did a video talking about these things.
This guy, “Fright Knight”, forced people to consider his ideas cannon and true.
Everything here is just built upon the level based system he created.
Why do we have to copy everything this guy makes up? We don’t! Let’s be original, let’s keep true to the 4chan post! Infinite mono-yellow! Where did these pipe hallways and weird monsters come from? Out of this guys , and a bunch of reddit roleplayers' vain heads, that’s where!
and all of this brings me to my final point...
3. Half the wiki already agrees with me to some degree
after scrolling through the comments of certain articles, I’ve noticed people talking about how r/Backrooms was getting ridiculous and considered very clearly un-backroom-like rooms as part of the Backrooms.
This lead people to move to a different subreddit known as r/truebackrooms and after scrolling through that reddit, it’s quite clear it’s all level 1, all mono yellow madness, all infinite randomly generated rooms with smell of old carpet, and monsters that STAY mysterious! Good ol' classic Backrooms!
so, come on guys, let’s stop feeding this narcissistic youtuber's ego! Let’s stop feeding reddit roleplayers' ego! Let’s keep this all true and honest to the true real Backrooms!
no one was going too T-T
well, obviously you know you’re in the Backrooms if you opened up this wiki first thing T_T
Hi, I’ve been hearing about a Backrooms discord server and I was wondering if there was a public invite link?
I'd like to join as I believe it would help me create more accurate articles, as I’d be able to fact check with staff (unless that’s prohibited, in which I’d just speak with people “in the know”).
Thank You
~DatBoi
you are literally 1 of 2 people to ask this.
you we’re trying to pass that off as a real photo of the Backrooms, lol
...
Hello everyone. As you are most likely aware, the other day I did a lot of edits trying to improve the consistency in formatting amongst the pages regarding “Levels”.
While doing this, I also made slight edits to the bits and pieces of lore, including a controversial removal a colony in Level 5 known as “The Originals” which consisted of people from time periods prior to 1940 or so (rough estimate), who are famous for disappearing (E.G Amelia Airheart).
In this post I will try and justify my reasoning
The main reason is because it might be deemed offensive to their still living family members. All though this doesn’t make much sense at first, try and put yourself in their shoes. Let’s say you had a famous family member who disappeared around 60-100 years ago. Now let’s say you see someone on the internet say “They're not dead, they’re in another dimension made out of decrepit office buildings”. I in strong belief that that might be seen as offensive.
My second point being that it doesn’t make sense. The group consist of people who (as previously mentioned) disappeared prior to around 1940. Well first of all, if that number included ALL people who disappeared prior to that time, the group would probably be larger then the current population of earth. Secondly, the main (or at least most well known) parts of the Backrooms are known for a fairly modern look. If we're to say the Backrooms have existed for all of time, that means that LED lights, carpet, Wallpaper with distinct designs, sewage systems, almond milk, Computers, phones, and various other things have also existed for all of time, which makes no sense. Did humans get the idea for this stuff from the Backrooms? If so why aren't the Backrooms common knowledge? If you answer “because the government or SCP or some bullshit would be hiding it”, why? Why would they even need to hide it?
I understand that this a thing where pre-established lore is taken very seriously, but this seriously conflicts with other pre-established lore.
If you still think my edits were unjustified, please, feel free to discuss in the comments, but I believe I am in the right.
Dude, give context. You were asking if the Backrooms were real, which makes you sound like a child
Hello everyone! I've looked around the wiki and decided I'd join and start making contributions! I've been a follower of the backrooms for quite a while now (more like a month, lol) and am glad someone has decided to create a wiki!
One important thing to note, is that my computer is not in the best shape, and is incredibly slow, so don't expect very frequent contributions.
more importantly, I've been known not too be the best wiki contributor (e.g Weegeepedia) so if I end up doing something stupid or annoying, just tell me and give me a warning, no need to jump straight to action!
anyways, I'm happy to be a part of this community
