FOREWORD

[LOADING LAST TRANSMISSION IN M.E.G NETWORK..]

I look out of the window.

A dim lavender light illuminates the land below. A park sits, having been clipped into a field of grass and an abandoned city, as the glitched corruption spreads further and further, leaving indescribable static that makes you think in white noise. An eye angel floats above, likely having been separated from its 4th dimensional flock.

I am not a new being, oblivious to the extent that reality has been twisted in incomprehensible ways. I was here before this all happened, and I will remain here as the universe dissolves further into madness.

My time will come soon. But first, let me tell one final story. A story of forgotten heroes, useless martyrs, and the struggle to survive an unstoppable force.

Let's start at the beginning.

...or should I say the end?

[IN MEMORIAM: M.E.G.]

OVERVIEW

ATLAS_ARCHIVE is a ...complicated canon to say the least. It follows a more hostile and pessimistic interpretation of the Backrooms similar to its predecessor, however it has since expanded to a new storyline in of itself.

The current story of the canon follows the inhabitants of both the Frontrooms and the Backrooms, within a reality which is gradually decaying due to the consequences of an experiment involving the US government attempting to enter other universes, which also resulted in the creation of the Backrooms and its retroactive insertion of into the past.

The canon is more a a loosely defined setting than a solid storyline, but each page should usually have some of the themes below:

  • Surrealism.
  • Retro-futurism.
  • General sci-fi.
  • Finding hope in a doomed world.
  • The future of the Backrooms.

CANON CROSSING

Due to the canon having a plethora of time travel and logic-breaking shenanigans, the canon can be crossed with essentially any canon there is. However, it should be advised to keep the canon's general themes in mind.

ARCHIVAL DIRECTORY
This is a list of pages for this canon. This is by no means a exhaustive list, and there may be multiple secret pages hidden within the archive. Pages will be ordered in chronological(ish) order, with pages being sorted into their respective series.

Chapter I

"Omega Files"

During the onset of the cold war, a certain incident on a mountain results in a new branch of the U.S: the Federal Bureau of Extrauniversal Affiairs. Based more on speculation than facts, the bureau is hidden from the public eye and mocked in private.

Do not be fooled, however. Soon, what the men and women on the F.B.E.A will do will unleash something much more disastrous than any war could ever hope to be.

<TOXICMOUNTAIN.BD>

"LET THERE BE LIGHT."

<PROJECTOMEGA.BD>

"They spat in the face of God, and He began to destroy them."

<LOBBY.BD>

"It is not just an anomaly. It is an open wound."

<LIMINAEFFECT.BD>

"An endless rot, spreading further and further throughout reality."

Chapter II

"Those Lifeless Worlds"

The Backrooms become stranger with each passing day. An increased rate of anomalous phenomena in the Backrooms catches the M.E.G.'s attention, and a the F.B.E.A starts to reveal itself from the shadows.

...Something big has just begun.

<TRANSCENDENCE.BD>

"And then I saw something else. Something greater."

<SCHRÖDINGERSCAT.BD>

"A cat beyond human comprehension."

<MANDELACROSSROADS.BD>

"A gateway between realities."

<CORRUPTED.BD>

"If the theory is correct, this gives a large insight into the physics of a world where this has occurred."

Chapter III

"Power Surge"

On February 1st, the Backrooms changed. A multi-week long incident left every level without light, and resulted in many levels changing beyond recognition.

The survivors are struggling to rebuild as many settlements fall, and inter-group tensions are rising. The Backrooms' horrors may now have to contend with the horrors created by humanity, as the political landscape of this dimension changes. Groups are becoming more opportunistic, colder, more ruthless.

To add to the tension, the Backrooms' levels are becoming more dangerous Anomalous phenomena are at an all time high, and the hostile entity population is rising more and more.

Another catastrophe is on the horizon.

<FLICKER.BD>

"If it happened once, it could always happen again."

<MEG.BD>

"They had exhausted their options, and in the end? The lion had gone feral."

<BACK_NET.BD>

"So I sent a warning."
