THREAT LEVEL 0

Description

A Merchant, known to walk all floors of the backrooms in search of those he can sell his wares to. He prefers to be called "Hank" And wont respond to any other nickname. His race is unknown, Remains pale in color from as he says "I don't get enough sun" and tends to reflect light when bright enough light is hitting his skin. His clothing Varies From t'shirts, suits, and wrappings, usually always dressed appropriately for his current Location but tends to have a Strangely heavy coat over him at all times, If gifted clothing, he will wear it on occasion. His eyes are always covered with some kind of protection, usually glasses or goggles. Though he has been observed eating, His lower jaw has yet to be seen unless it was taken completely via some altercation. If a part of him is damaged or taken off, He could later be seen with something replacing it. He is always armed with a multitude of weapons. Though passive and very social, when in combat, He is very well adept in all forms of combat, capable of holding his own against most threats and unnaturally resistant to a lot of psychological effects (though not immune.) He holds a wide variety of items to trade.

locations

It is not known if he has a preferred location to linger in as he has been found travelling in levels as deep as Levels 9876394839009 as well as every negative and sub level in between in search of items to trade. He says "I like to take in the sights and see the people brave enough to travel there." He can reliably be seen in safer levels and will always have wares from the levels down below. He has claimed to have traveled to the Frontrooms "Yeah I've been there a few times, got some good stuff there" But he refuses to show us the exit, he claims to have forgotten it, although that is most likely a lie.

Behavior

He is Incredibly passive to everyone he encounters, always willing to stop and sit down for a snack or drink with any traveler on his path. He understands the threat of being this way on some levels and will often pass them a note to meet them at a nicer level for a drink sometime before either helping you escape or going a separate way. If he wants to meet you on a safer floor for a trade or that drink he wanted, you will encounter him next time around. He is very difficult to anger, often having a level headed no matter if a deal goes bad or if you try and get on his nerves. it will cool down fast after eating something, especially his preferred food of Chili Prawns. His trade methods vary from a one on one deal to a loud, bravado filled auction in packed areas for rarer items with high demand. His most known deal was when people nearly got physical over a functioning WIFI router he got after a follower of Jerry dropped it and never came back for. His mental state is solid as a rock and mentally traumatic entities have a more difficult time effecting him. When angered, he tries to leave the situation but if someone gets physical, he has been seen performing close quarters combat with shocking speed. And if in a life or death situation, Has been shown to fight with anything he has on hand with frightening skill in a fit of rage.

He can be killed, but all items on him disappear with him and will return roughly a week later, often seen going after his killer to get revenge, but will calm down after an extended period of time of not being to reach said killer. Other deaths such as Hazards and Infections will also result in him coming back, particularly painful deaths makes him sour upon returns, often mumbling "I cant have any time to relax..." or "I need a vacation"

Incidents

  • incident 1, Hank was attacked by a few Cartographers on level 8. They proceeded to try and corner him in a room and attack him with one crossbow and multiple sharp objects.

Results: A bloody fight ensued with hank brutally murdering all his offenders with the leg of a reclining chair. But died from bleed out from a bolt to the liver. Hank came back and killed his killer a week later with the same bolt that killed him while he was attending a wedding, then apologized to the couple and gave them a few royal rations as a gift.

  • incident 2, A group of unknown cultists hidden within level 87 emerged with an unknown, incredibly armored entity and attacked him and his group for their supplies with guns.

Results: Hank used a katana he pulled out of his jacket and hit the vitals of most of the enemies before they could fire a shot, the rifled cultist opened fire on hank, only to see him spin at an unnaturally fast speed, using the power of his spin to make the shots get brushed aside mid air, and throw a knife into the cultists head. he attacked the armored, sledgehammer wielding entity but broke his sword against his armor and resorted to pulling the hammer away and striking at the metal plating on its torso until it fell off, then using a dead cultists military grade shotgun to blast the monster in two, and did not stop shooting until the entity was separated from its body. He then calmed down and offered almond water to the group to ease tension.

Incident 3, He was attacked by a large group of partygoers and got infected.

Results: before he turned, he fell to his knees and reached into his pocket, resisting their influence long enough to pull out a detonator and blew himself up, as well as any entity in the room, as well as damaging the walls, revealing an entrance to the insulation. He was found at the hub eating his favorite food 2 weeks later.
