I woke up in a grassy field, covered in cold sweats. Navigating a path of chains was not easy, and a fatal mistake would cause my seeming death. With knowledge of the broken reality, I had understood that there exists many known and unknown ways to get to and from places, so this might have just been but another way. I had known that something felt... off. Aches infested my mangled self, yet, the pain was fleeing my body. The fractures, repaired. It was almost like a dream. Like my dying mind creating a paradise until everything goes away.

This was not a dream. I laid there from where I woke up, paralyzed. I did not move a single inch, nor did I make even the slightest movement. I slowly collected myself enough to position myself in a more upright position in order to survey the area. It was early dawn, with a trio of trees a couple of meters away from me off to my side. A rabbit laid dead next to me, with its legged ripped off, causing me to flinch and back away from it. I had managed to stand up, albeit shaking in weakness. I slowly meandered my way to an odd piece of foliage, with a large book replacing what should be a flower.

I wasn't able to move anymore due to my increasing weakness and drowsiness. I tried to keep on moving, when I suddenly collapsed. When I fell onto the ground, I felt an extreme crushing pain in my chest. I then started to drift away into a deep slumber. And then, I awoke in a new world. Rebirthed as a new man in a life anew, free from pain, death, and dislike.
