Eardrums ring as the bombs fall again
The fire in the sky made residents afraid
Invasions soon followed
Etched cobble turned to rubble
Stepped on by monsters
Yet evil men hide within
As they moved on without us
Leaving a shell of the city
Slowly decaying, slowly dying
Only an "artifact of the past"
We have no present
We have no future

After World War I, Reims France stood in disarray. A city torn by war and bombings, the rubble left the residents afraid. No one batted an eye to their suffering. As France seemed to modernize and grow, shedding the scars of conflict, Reims was left behind. A spectacle for the war enthusiast and the anthropologist. Real people live and die here, unaware of how alone they truly are.
A New Beginning is the nickname given to the French region, Champagne, located northeast of Paris. Many who find themselves here will be placed in the city of Reims, though some have claimed to first appear south of the city in Épernay. Perfectly situated in the Frontrooms, the level obeys all gravitational and physical properties. Due to it's placement, however, those not stuck within the backrooms are able to travel into A New Beginning, with some seemingly unable the recognize the oddities. Any exits or alterations native to the Backrooms will not appear to Frontroom residents.
How it is possible to enter and exit the city is directly dependent if one has already noclipped into the Backrooms or not. Those who entered A New Beginning via noclipping cannot see anything else in the level besides the city and an 50 kilometer radius around it, with everything else dropping off into the void. This barrier can only be crossed by those who are not originally from the Backrooms. To those outside of the Backrooms, it has no differences to the original city.

Outsiders unaware
Look to them like freaks
They don't know
No one has told them
You can't blame them
Can you?
Those who travel to Champagne and are not already within the Backrooms seem to have no understanding of it. Attempts to explain it or reason to outsiders have consistently failed. The dejection have made many wanderers frustrated and desperate for exits. In regards to traveling back to reality, a barrier appears across the whole of Champagne, rendering those unable to see beyond the level. Attempts to travel out through car or other simple travel results in wanderers falling through the barrier and never being found. By means of air travel or group commute, those trying to leave will be crushed to death once interacting with the barrier. The violence of the scene and it's possible effects on those in the the Frontrooms, new systems have been put in place to prevent wanderers from boarding such means of transportation.
The appearance of various wanderers has caused a collective shift in language and culture in Champagne, causing it to stand out much more than the rest of France. These oddities have caused more intrigue by outsiders regarding the level, with an incline in tourism and the development of a French-English pidgin language. This, nicknamed "Frasia", is the common language in A New Beginning, alongside French and English respectively. Most holidays of French and English origin are celebrated, with only slight changes to correlate for holidays tied to the Backrooms. The enduring tradition seems to not extend much farther outside of the county.

Are they left to permanently be reminded of the destruction?
Was there no hope for redemption in their ceaseless struggle?
Everything that has been built came back down on them again.
Such is the nature of A New Beginning.
To build up, then come back down again.
Day in and day out time beat the county down again
And people were growing tired of trying to recover what was lost.

The level, A New Beginning, remains trapped in a casual time loop. Starting November 1918, and ending September 1939, the cities within the level are reconstructed at the start of the loop. The reconstruction seems to be automatic, as construction materials are anomalously added and removed. However, when the time loop comes to an end, Champagne and all it's cities fall apart once more. Their destruction mirrors the happenings of the WWI bombings, and lasts throughout October and into November, where it stats again. This phenomenon, nicknamed "The Reversion" is linked to the deaths of many wanderers currently in the level. Oddly, during the month, all those in the Frontrooms will not be in the area. Citing a variety of reasons, the migration out of the level starts in August and people trickle back into the level starting December. Outside of Champagne none of the wanderer deaths appear to be accounted for, seemingly the entire world unable to witness the cataclysm.
Symbolic, is it not?
A hallow reminder to how alone they are
No one has reached the wanderers
Their families have forgotten and moved on
And those who met them again.
Have been forgotten
By flesh and blood the wanderers aren't real
An illusion to what the world really is
Yet through all the shouting
Someone was going to hear them.

A Way Out
Hello residents of A New Beginning, I've heard for the longest time that you all have struggled to find normality and consistency within your existence both on Earth and the Backrooms. While many have brushed off your valued pleas as nothing more of a collective mental break, I assure that some people out there truly believe the story you tell us.
Because of this, we at ████████████████ have spent well over 30 years studying the mechanisms of liminality and time loops to help you all find a way out of CHampagne for good. Though not an easy project by any stretch of the definition, we resolved ourselves to continue working on this until an answer could be found. The story told by your town, and the strange circumstances around it have left many of us in awe of your strength, bravery, and commitment to taking care of the collapsing city and those who you share space with. It was an absolute honor to hear of your existence.
Because of this, we have brought you all truly something special. Fashioned through the use of quantum computing and the brilliant research done by many of you on the Backrooms and it's feats of the nonsensical. We brought you the Osten's Reality Exponator (ORE), a device built to propel past the continual failures of the crumbing city and experience a new age of life and beauty among a hyper-advanced civilization far above what reality can currently. And the bonus? With this, you will no longer need to see those in the Frontrooms again, as this device pushes Rheims out of your liminal lands and replaces it with itself.
