"Hello Commander. I have been tasked with reporting important information to you. I am General Brandon Wassock of the X-Cast Echo Foxtrot division. While patrolling level 11, I noticed some files scattered across the ground. They appear to mean something, but I am decoding them as we speak because I cannot figure it out. If these files lead to any important information or intel that we can use, I will notify you immediately. I'm going to start looking for more of these as well. *shouts in the distance* *single gunshot is fired*"

"Hello again Commander! I have great news. First off, sorry for cutting the broadcast early! We had to deal with some entities in level 11, but it is all taken care of now. Secondly, I have found all the files! So far, only 87 out of about 616 make sense, but from what Echo Foxtrot can piece together, these files describe a new element coming to the Backrooms. Whether it's helpful to us or not, we will see."

"Hello Commander. We have finally finished decoding the files. However, the information we've found leads to something, quite grim, I should say. It appears to be a new threat looming, an invisible chemical that M.E.G. has labelled as Agent 53. Echo Foxtrot will continue to do more investigations on this new Agent 53 threat."

"Hello again Commander. We have traced the origins of Agent 53 back to level 0. Can you believe it? The stink of the moist carpets had mixed in with some kind of liquidized medal to create an odor so bad that it killed off most of the human senses in a matter of minutes. I would advise the rest of the X-Cast be made aware of this."

The X-Cast have classified this threat as Tier 3 on a scale of Tier 1-Tier 10. These broadcasts were made public to help wanderers better understand this threat and to keep them safe from it. The following story is a true story, reported by our soldiers in Echo Kilo.

Cody was a casual wanderer that had no-clipped into level 0 during a bike ride at night. He knew of this place; he had seen it on the internet all the time. Never would he have thought that he gets sent to the Backrooms. Cody remains calm as he begins his venture throughout the level. The familiar hum-buzz of lights, the moist carpet smells. they were all there. He knew to be weary of entities, of course. In his pocket was a vial of liquid mercury, which he was going to use for a science project. As Cody ventured further into the level, the lights began to flicker more aggressively. He heard footsteps behind him, and turned around to find nothing. He started to quicken his pace and started jogging, with no sense of direction. Suddenly, a voice started talking to him in his head:

"Remember who you are and where you came from." Cody immediately started running, feeling that there was something behind him. An entity that hopefully hadn't heard him. After managing to run a couple miles, he collapsed on the carpet. He checked his watch and saw a stopwatch that says "9:99:99.99". Dismissing this, Cody started to feel tired. He felt nauseous and dizzy.

As Cody began to fall asleep on the floor, the vial of liquid mercury fell out of his pocket. Unbeknownst to him, the next roll he would make while sleeping would create one of the largest threats in the Backrooms. When he rolled onto his side, the vial was crushed and the glass broke. Immediately, as the liquid mercury seeped into the moist carpet, Cody awoke. He suddenly had no taste, touch, smell, vision, or feeling. He had no idea what just happened. As he lay there dumbfounded, the entity he had been fearing began approaching him. The last thing he knew was a flash of black running towards him before he screamed and the world went black.
