The Auriellen Security Council (Aurielleno: Assembleu di Securitate Aurielleno) (acron.: ASC, ASA) is a federal consultative body of the president of Aurielle. Its function is to advise and assist the president on national security, military, foreign policy, and matters of strategic importance. It is composed of Aurielle’s senior state officials, head of defense and security agencies, and supplementary advisors.
The ASC commands two subordinate agencies, being the: Auriellen Security Council Intelligence Center (ASCIC) and Auriellen Security Council Special Forces (ASCSF).
The Auriellen Security Council was established following Proviceo par Uneas et Securitate Enacta[1], as the policymakers who created it anticipated a period of turmoil following the Republic of Aurielle's formation, during which national security would be a top priority. The intent was to coordinate the Ground Forces, Maritime and Coastal Operations Force, Territorial Guard and Defense Force, and, later on, the General Aerial Operations Command alongside other bodies of national security.
Following the Antlian Revolution and at the beginning of Sebastian Solsti's administration, the Auriellen Congress passed the Securitate Redcorsi Laupe Enacta[2], thereby militarizing the council and creating the Auriellen Security Council Intelligence Center and Auriellen Security Council Special Forces. The act defined the status of the ASCIC and ASCSF as "instruments to lead in the fields of Aurielle's intelligence and military."
After the organization and establishment of Rama Saom following the Netter Linsho War, the ASC grew to include the Chairman of Rama Saom.
During the Korthie Casiagen War, Nurem Pacen permitted the Auriellen Security Council to yield the power to determine and identify people who the council deems to be threats to national security or interest and add them to a "list of individuals to terminate." He also allowed the council to deploy ASCSF operators to any area via a vote, given which, if enough council members accept, they permit deployment. [3]
The council and its subordinate agencies follow a hierarchical system whereby the ASCIC and ASCSF must report to the ASC. In on itself the ASCSF must also report to both the ASCIC and ASC, with it functioning similarly to the Special Activities Center[4] and other Frontrooms special forces.
Termination authorization
As previously stated, one of the tasks of the Auriellen Security Council is to determine and identify people whom they deem to be threats to national security or interest and add them to a "list of individuals to terminate" (formally known as "Intentio ad rem). In this scenario, the Auriellen Security Council will not release any public records of the decision or the elimination operation of the designated individual. The jurisdiction of adding an individual to said list of individuals to terminate falls under three principles: "Substantial evidence inclines that the following individual poses a threat to Aurielle's security or strategic interest and that they have, are, or will attack Auriellen installations or jeopardize Auriellen interests; Congress permitted this by affirming the authorization for use of military force; and they are permitted under international law if a country is defending itself."
Members of the Ethics Committee continuously make sure that Aurielle's targeted termination policy is legal, ethical, and wise. Albeit independent researchers dispute the claim.
The ASC comprises its chairman (the president of Aurielle), the Secretary of the ASC, its full members, and members, as appointed by the president. Under law, the Secretary of the ASC is appointed by the president and reports directly to them.

The Auriellen Security Council Intelligence Center (Aurielleno: Assembleu di Securitate Aurielleno Centreo Istisnem) (ASCIC, ASACI) is the main intelligence service of the federal government of the Republic of Aurielle tasked with gathering, processing, and analyzing information regarding national security and interest around the Backrooms by conducting human intelligence (HUMINT), counterintelligence, and covert operations through the Auriellen Security Council Special Forces. ASCIC is unofficially considered the Auriellen Intelligence Community, as its various sections conduct intelligence activities on various matters; however, at its fundamental, ASCIC acts as a foreign intelligence service.
The ASCIC is led by a director and is divided into two chambers, being sections and directorates. Although the ASCIC mainly focuses on outside intelligence gathering, the Auriellen Security Council Intelligence Center—Internal Intelligence Section (ASCIC—IIS) is tasked with domestic intelligence collection and has law enforcement functions. The ASCIC exerts foreign influence through the Auriellen Security Council, primarily the Auriellen Security Council Special Forces Operational Detachment—Detail G "Special Activities Force", through covert operations that involve regime changes and assassinations of foreign leaders. The ASCIC is instrumental to maintaining and expanding Aurielle's client state system, as it provides support to several foreign organizations, political groups, and governments deemed favorable. In spite of this, unlike other organizations, the ASCIC demands the democratization of the groups it supports.
Previous Auriellen intelligence and covert operations were undertaken by the Strategic Security Service (SSS). The service was abolished as it was considered ad hoc and faced several issues such as inadequate training. Amid Sebastian Solti's administration, the Securitate Redcorsi Laupe Enacta established the ASCIC. Throughout the Korthie Casiagen War, the ASCIC was expanded to include its sections through the Vuquenom di Sunesterte Istisnem Enacta,[5] where it was mainly used for espionage. After the end of the Korthie Casiagen War, ASCIC became a major instrument in Auriellen foreign policy and subsequent expansion. The ASCIC employed psychological operations against rival regimes and backed coups to advance Auriellen interests.
It also collaborates with various other intelligence agencies, such as the Cascadan State Intelligence Directorate (CSID), Antlian Intelligence Office (AIO), and the Backrooms Investigation Foundation.
The Auriellen Security Council Special Forces (Aurielleno: Assembleu di Securitate Aurielleno Corsius Speca) (ASCSF, ASACS) is the unified command charged with special operations of the Auriellen Armed Forces. Often considered the special operations branch, they are fitted for a variety of tasks that depend on specific units, though they mainly cover covert operations, capture or kill high-value targets, counterterrorism, hostage rescue, decapitation, direct action, special reconnaissance, entity clearing, critical site protection, unconventional warfare, and special operations. The ASCSF is under the supervision of both the ASC and ASCIC and reports directly to them. Much of the information pertaining to their actions is highly classified.
Each branch has subcommands used for better coordination, being the Auriellen Security Council Special Forces—Ground Forces Command, Auriellen Security Council Special Forces—Naval Command, and Auriellen Security Council Special Forces—Air Force Command. The ASCSF regularly works in conjunction and has longstanding relations with other special forces of groups closely aligned with the Republic of Aurielle, namely the Sirilis Commando Force (SCF), Special Services Division (SSD), and Cascadan Special Operations Command (CSOC); all collaborations are handled by the Auriellen Security Council Special Forces—Foreign Joint Component Command.
ASCSF operators perform rigorous physical and mental training exercises and also undergo training similar to the United States' Green Berets, such as language and cultural training. They require recruits to learn foreign languages, maintain knowledge of the political, economic, and cultural aspects of the regions they are deployed in if applicable, and develop a clear understanding of the environment, dangers, and any additional factors relevant to the level they're located in.
Auriellen Security Council Special Forces Operational Detachments
Auriellen Security Council Special Forces Operational Detachments (ASCSF—ODs) is a small military platoon-sized subordinated element of one of two Special Operations Force Groups, typically led by a lieutenant and assisted by a platoon sergeant. There currently exist 26 operational detachments, which are alphabetically ordered from A to Z, with each utilizing distinct adornments called "identification marks" and some having specific roles.
Identification marks are defined as "specifically designated marks, objects, symbols, or others used to identify and differentiate the different detachments."
Bellow are a list of Operational Detachments, only including Detail A to Detail Q.
Nightcrawlers
Auriellen Security Council Special Forces Operational Detachment—Detail A (ASCSFOD—D/A), also known as Nightcrawlers, Purple Demons, Moon, or Cloakers is the head unit of Special Operations Force Group "A" and the main representative unit of all Operational Detachments. It is among the Republic of Aurielle's tier 1 units, and it solely operates at night, though exceptions are given when considered necessary. Members of Detail A have extensive measures taken to maintain their identity completely anonymous, and members are selected from other detachments.
Nightcrawlers are among one of the three units that can declare an Eagle Cry[6] when a casualty is confirmed. To date, only 2 Nightcrawlers have been confirmed dead.
IDENTIFICATION MARK - Detail A's identification mark is composed of purple armbands and duct tape located in the biceps of their uniform and helmet, alongside this, using night vision goggles that use purple coloring.
MOTTO - Viste covo dem noctu preofes (See through the piercing night)
Grey Helmets
The Auriellen Security Council Special Forces Operational Detachment—Detail B (ASCSFOD—D/B), also known as Grey Berets, and Sun are the direct daytime counterparts of the Nightcrawlers and are the head unit of Special Operations Force Group "B." Among Aurielle's tier 1 units, they have the same selection procedures and anonymity as Detail A.
They are the second unit with the capability to declare an Eagle Cry.
IDENTIFICATION MARK - Their identification mark is directly reflected in their uniform and equipment, which deviate from the usual camouflage by being grey and black.
MOTTO - Per su noviscu et cius dane (For a bright new dawn)
Talismanes
The Auriellen Security Council Special Forces Operational Detachment—Detail C (ASCSFOD—D/C), also known as Wisemen and Dreamcatchers, acts as the ASCSF's psychological threat dealing unit, tasked with being consistently deployed to particularly mentally deteriorating locations and dealing with biological dangers that pose severe damage to the human psyche.
IDENTIFICATION MARK - A set of Talisman Paper located in the belt or backpack of each member serves as their identification mark. They can remove it and place it on any surface, which usually marks cleared locations.
MOTTO - Fortuna iuvuscu di auboldens. (Fortune favors the bold)
Snow Leopards
The Auriellen Security Council Special Forces Operational Detachment—Detail D (ASCSFOD—D/D), or Snow Leopards, specializes in combat within cold or mountainous regions; two Cascadans serve the unit. Detail D is used to severely compromise insurgent or guerilla activity, hidden or special bases, and other sorts within the colder and mountainous levels of the Backrooms.
IDENTIFICATION MARK - They wear camouflage reminiscent of Snow Leopards or, in certain occasions, pure white equipment.
MOTTO - Oncer campos di sneve. (Under fields of snow)
Prometheous' Hands
The Auriellen Security Council Special Forces Operational Detachments—Detail E (ASCSFOD—D/E), or Prometheous' Hands, is an Auriellen unit that, following the ratification Vaxemptas Espifio Enacta,[7] exempted the unit from most Ethics Committees oversight. Normally seen deployed to deal with entities, close-quarters combat, hot environments, and other roles, their CBNR defensive equipment has made them a viable unit for handling chemical, biological, radiological, and nuclear threats. Detail E has been controversial for their usage of incendiary devices.
IDENTIFICATION MARK - The main identifiable aspect of Prometheous' Hands is the usage of the underbarrel incendiary modular ancillary weapon attachment (UIMAWA) made from Greek Fire and Pyro Shrooms. Additional accessories include the ETD-8CS/E AMVH and other sorts of incendiary devices and entities (such as Legoms Igasaleos).
MOTTO - Covo ignio, dema nutra renovato holus. (Through fire, nature is reborn whole)
Kaspetin
The Auriellen Security Council Special Forces Operational Detachment—Detail F (ASCSFOD—D/F), or Kaspetin, is a strictly support-based unit used exclusively alongside other military elements such as Auriellen Ground Forces troops or other operational detachments. Deployed for support in close-quarters combat, facility defense and retake (FD&R), and entity-clearing operations. They have been trained to deal with the physical burden that comes with handling their equipment.
IDENTIFICATION MARK - Kaspetins heavily deviate from the usual body armor that Aurielle Ground Forces and other operational detachments use, employing highly protective body armor with kneepads and ballistic visors. Additionally, they use the VANT-VM Shield, or, on special occasions, energy shields that were captured from terminated Maraduers.
MOTTO - Sauvors di nostre sudio. (Defenders of our country.)
Special Activities Force
The Auriellen Security Council Special Forces Operational Detachments—Detail G (ASCSFOD—D/G), or the Special Activities Force (SAF), is a contribution of the ASCIC to the ASCSF responsible for covert, clandestine, and political disruption operations. The unit is believed to be used to deny all knowledge of a mission.
Roles of the SAF include covert activities related to political influence, psychological operations, economic warfare, and cyberwarfare.
IDENTIFICATION MARK - It is believed that the SAF holds no identification mark to maintain their secrecy, though alleged sightings generally state that the operators and their weapons lack any sounds, which observers believe is caused by contact with the legs of Extendiheads.
MOTTO - Semper est su fresia optio (There is always a third option.)
Law's Right Hand
The Auriellen Security Council Special Forces Operational Detachment—Detail H (ASCSFOD—D/H, also known as Law's Right Hand, the Ethics Committee's Personal Task Force, or within the Ethics Committee as the Special Evaluation and Application Group (SAAG), is the upfront unit utilized by the Ethics Committee to uphold Aurielle's and International laws, including but not limited to its rules of engagement and formal laws of research.
Despite its domestic focus and subordination towards a domestic judicial body, the SAAG commonly serves foreign high-risk arrest and search warrants, alongside carrying out direct action against high-value targets such as known war criminals.
IDENTIFICATION MARK - Operators securely place a blue armband in their right hand.
MOTTO - Sita semper sum tyranis (Thus always to tyrants)
Eagle's Rings
The Auriellen Security Council Special Forces Operational Detachment—Detail I (ASCSFOD—D/I), also known as Eagle's Rings, is Aurielle's General Aerial Operations Command (GAOC) special operations ground force. Their roles include air-ground communication control, personnel recovery, and combat search and rescue operations through the use of the helicopters retrieved from Level 107.
Likewise to GAOC's other airborne ground forces, their usage is limited to outdoor levels.
IDENTIFICATION MARK - Rings with the feathers of eagles are located in the belt of operators.
MOTTO - From the skies (Fum dem caelos)
Bersaglieri
The Auriellen Security Council Special Forces Operational Detachment—Detail J (ASCSFOD—D/J), better known as Bersaglieri, is a dual-purpose support and solitary unit composed of both marksmen and snipers, separated into two groups: the Long-Range Assistance Group (LRAG) for marksmen, typically called when the unit serves as a support element, and the Standalone Action Group (SAG) for snipers, functioning independently in small operational fireteams.[8]
IDENTIFICATION MARK - Both sections use combat helmets decorated with black feathers, thus the nickname "Bersaglieri." The only difference is that the SAG paints their feathers accordingly to their camouflage.
MOTTO - Cieno di batalius et di su mutom, lucuam quoremo nosro dems nesos di Troya, lautomo por ores, arevo es Italia et doc nesos Lavinenses (I sing of war and of a man, who first from the shores of Troy, driven by fate, arrived in Italy and on Lavinian shores)
Lifeline
The 1st Special Warfare Group (SSWG), or The Supplier's Personal Task Force, commonly referred to as "Lifeline," operates as a special operations force under joint control by the Head of Security of Rama Saom (HSRS) and the Director of Truno Saom (DTS), although the ASCSF and ASC supervise their operations. They primarily react quickly to high-risk incidents. Additionally, The Supplier directly provides them with unconventional weaponry.
Throughout most of its history, The Supplier strictly controlled Detail K with supervision from the Security Council. It wasn't until reformations following the Cascadan Conflict that the HRSR took over topics of strategic and military importance, while DTS managed matters such as the detachment's deployments, diplomacy, and everything in between.
Similarly to Detail E, they are exempted from most Ethics Committee oversight due to the Vaxemptas Espifio Enacta.
IDENTIFICATION MARK - Detail K is always seen using M50 gas masks or respirators of sorts. Its other identification mark lies in their weapon's ammunition, which are modified to carry lethal substances such as Liquid Pain or nerve gases.
MOTTO - Um duo dem est bunosivos par ustio (I'm doing what's best for us)
