About
The RetroLook icon
BSCOS are to be considered high-tech mapping devices that feature many attributes of modern computer technology (Most similar to the Paris Catacombs Project by Scenario in the FrontRooms). Most devices come in 2 shades of color, a future blue or a light tinted grey with a glossy class cover on the exterior, giving it a more appealing exterior. BSCOS devices are capable of storing a maximum of 100TB of data, making them excellent devices for exploration expeditions.

A look into the past
In mid 1991 and on the brink of bankruptcy, the BSC released RetroLook 1.7 for public use. The 1.7 version was a substantial improvement upon the alpha variant with the new devices being capable of compiling large numbers of photos together with minimal issue. The project still had a way to go in development but for now had picked up enough popular support to stave off the complete collapse of the BSC.
A Modern Appeal
With the success of the RetroLook 1.7 the BSC was looking for new ways to innovate the project and make it more accessible. The BSCO a complete rebrand of RetroLook, was created it give the system a more modern appeal. Everything had to run faster had to outperform the competition and appear sleek. The BSCO 1.0 is the first version developed that with minimal bugs, the system working entirely as planned. The development of this smooth system brought it into the hands of the M.E.G with an exclusive equipment license signed with the BSC to make the BSC the sole supplier of mapping technologies to the M.E.G.
Variant of the Future
A look beyond, the BSCO was profiting like never before in the late 2010s and was in its golden era. The new BSCO 2.0 released in October 2010 was the latest development by the Backrooms Space Corporation in its mapping technology. For the first time since its inception, the program was compatible with exporting .mp4 files into the map creator, allowing for the use of video files for mapping projects and not just still images. This radical change resulted in a short-term surge in bug reports but also a rapid surge in level mapping capabilities. Levels were able to be documented now at rates never before imaged in the Backrooms. The new BSCO v2 was also capable of integrating Phongton technology with the usage of a new extensions service, allowing for further level documentation to be attached directly to the map rather than having to be stored on alternate programs or databases.Uses
- Clicking Convert on the program will allow image & video files to be added to the program to be mapped.
- Clicking Store will open the Backrooms Space Center Store.
- Clicking Integrate on the startup menu will allow for the addition of extensions like a Phongton Device pages to be added to active map projects
While starting up the following sounds will be played RetroLook v1.7: retro sounds RetroLook v1.0: One note of 8-bit block BSCO v1.0: Xylophone BSCO v2.0: 4 chimes would be played in a bell
