Frequently Asked Questions
Why am I unable to create pages or posts?
If you have just created your Fandom account, you’ll find that you are unable to post or create pages. Unfortunately, your account must be over four days old before you gain the rights to do so. If you have an idea you wish to write about, it is recommended you use this time to draft your page in Word, Notepad, or your Sandbox while you wait.
Which wiki is the official one?
There are multiple wikis and canons relating to the Backrooms, each being entirely different, and none being specifically wrong or right. Each wiki has its own pros and cons in regards to page quality and style, with no one wiki being the “official” source of Backrooms information. In the end, it is up to one’s own headcanon.
Where’s ASYNC? Or (insert Kane Pixels thing)
This wiki was founded in 2019, and thus is unaffiliated with Kane Pixels' Backrooms series or any other non-wiki content. Content from this wiki is not included in the series, and per Kane's request, no content from the series is to be added onto this wiki.
Why did my page get deleted?
Our wiki is focused on keeping things clean, considering our primary demographic, so pages get deleted often; if you find that yours was deleted, check the reason for its deletion to see why. Odds are that the page was either poorly written, too short, or broke the rules in some way. The rules for page creation can be found here.
How can I recover my deleted pages?
If you would like a page restored, message a staff member to move it to your sandbox. Make sure you provide the page's link or name.
Why am I seeing bad pages?
Under Fandom’s policy, pages can be created freely, leading to many rule-breaking pages slipping under the radar. If you come across a poorly written or rule-breaking page, it is encouraged to edit it and add the {{Delete}} template to it. To do this, simply go to INSERT → Template, then search for “Delete”. After this, provide a reason for the page’s deletion in the template. Doing this will allow mods to notice the page much more easily, and if it is decided that it is against the rules, it will be deleted within the span of a few hours. Pinging mods in comment sections or linking it to them in the Discord server may lead to a swifter deletion.
What are canons and how do they work?
There are two kinds of canons: personal headcanons and author canons. The former type constitutes one's own ideas of how the Backrooms lore works and connects. Due to this, opinions naturally differ greatly between people, so disagreements and clashing of ideas are common. Author canons, on the other hand, are fictional storylines that take place in the Backrooms universe but are separated from the main canon; they are often created when their ideas are far too large-scale to sensibly fit in the main canon.
