God save you if you hear something wandering around nearby, because it sure as hell has heard you.
Welcome, Traveler!
We assume you're an average person that due to some unfortunate circumstances, has glitched (more specifically, noclipped) out of reality and appeared in a bizarre new "world". We'd like to inform you that you are in the "Backrooms". Many other people, just like you, are stuck in this dimension. Don't panic; you're in the right place to get answers. Firstly, you should always try to get some company on your side, as there are reports of entities in this place. Travelers who arrive here prefer to organize the different areas into separate "levels" depending on their characteristics. Each level - seemingly randomly generated - differs so greatly that it becomes necessary to use a guide. Many travelers like you have ended up in Levels 0, 1, 2, and reportedly even Level 3 or higher. This wiki can help you through your travels in the Backrooms, and perhaps with each discovery, you can provide information for everyone else to make their journey here a little bit easier.
What are the Backrooms?
The Backrooms are a labyrinth of randomly segmented rooms and halls. The first 3 confirmed levels share three distinct characteristics: loud buzzing fluorescent lights, yellow stained walls, and beige carpets with varying quality and age. So far, there are 3 generally recognized levels, with further numbers being unconfirmed. Each level has its own unique set of familiar characteristics. Excluding the aforementioned traits, each level contains a variety of different objects. Examples of these include random items ranging from furniture, to tools, to weapons, etc. Some of the items located within the Backrooms can be very helpful, and can sometimes be the difference between life and death. The Backrooms are generally considered to warp a traveler's mind to what they think is most monotonous whilst retaining its core elements. Many consider it one thing, while others consider it another. The levels also contain various different creatures, which can either attack you or not pay any attention to you - their behavior is seemingly as random as the Backrooms itself. The theory of "monsters" existing is backed up by the fact that reportedly nobody has ever made it out. Unfortunately, most people who encounter these entities only get to post the occasional eerie image or story before their accounts go dark.
