Introduction
The Crimsonverse is the label for Crimson's canon for the Backrooms. The Crimsonverse follows the standard Unrestricted Canon of the Backrooms, as long as there's no conflicting accounts with the Crimsonverse itself, and as long as all the pages fulfilled a sufficient criteria to be accepted to the canon. Which mean, a majority of joke pages are not canon to the Crimsonverse.
The overarching story of the Crimsonverse lies in the Crown of the Throne that promised power and salvation. The tale of the Alpha and the Omega spread far and wide across the Backrooms, leading to a grand quest where many seek the truth. From the endless liminal space, the depth of hell, even the void beyond are possible factor to the lore.
The Crimsonverse is overall more action-packed than most depiction of the Backrooms, featuring powerful characters and epic worldbuilding, written in mythological style, relying on theories and speculations rather than factual data, in order to maintain the mysterious atmosphere. The Crimsonverse in overall is somewhat more serious and mature than the majority of the fandom, but ironically, maintained a more hopeful and positive approach. In general, the Crimsonverse might fit to the label of "dark fantasy" genre, similar to books such as the Lord of the Rings, or games like the Dark Souls.
Every pages in the Crimsonverse are loosely tied to each other; some even linked directly or indirectly to the Crown of the Throne. However, the Crimsonverse is open on connecting itself to other canons and other works. After all, what is real and unreal is all but blurs in the Crimsonverse. Believe what you wished you believe, and relish in the nightmare that awaits.
Pages
Here are every single pages from the Crimsonverse and more are coming!
Levels Pages
- Level ALPHAOMEGA : The Throne Room, the Heart of the Void, the Core of the Backrooms, and known by many more name, is a mythical level, and a supposedly unreachable, untouchable sacred domain that is considered as one of the greatest mysteries of The Backrooms.
- Level 230 - The Infinite Library : The Infinite Library is home of the Librarians and one of the largest resource for books in the Backrooms. Be careful to not let its fiction destroy your sense of reality, as what is real and unreal, none could truly tell. Enjoy your stay, and be careful not to be trapped in the endless selection of literature.
- Level 323 - Land of Predators: The Land of Predators is one of the biggest producer of entities other than the Hive itself. A place teeming with life, where many born and die. A world where the cycle of life and death is maintained in utmost balance. Those who cannot survive, simply become food for others.
- The Great Cavern of Altera: My submission for the third writing contest, and one of the best page that I've ever made. The Great Cavern is a massive underground realm connected to hundreds of levels, with many interesting places and many dangerous entities. The level itself already contain much lore there, from between the Dwarven Bastion, Golden Tomb, and the Hell's Gate at the abyss beneath.
Entities Pages
- Crimson Wanderer : A mysterious warrior of unrivaled strength and skill, feared for his deadly power, but also seen as a hero by many. He's widely consider as one of the most dangerous humanoid entity in The Backrooms that raked the highest kill count ever recorded.
- The Storyteller: Also known as the Bookmaster, Poet, Muse, Author, Head Librarian, Magus Maximus and many more titles, is the boss entity that rules the Infinite Library and all its content, including the space within. A psychic entity that manipulate memory and knowledge, also shapeshifting master of illusion, among countless of magical capabilities.
- The Gardener: The boss entity that reigned over the Land of Predators and followed by many sects. She's known by many names, including Mother Green and the Verdant Queen. A goddess-like entity that said to represent mother nature herself, and worshipped by many as a benevolent, caring and loving entity. However, she might be cruel and ruthless, as she's the queen of many horrible monsters.
Tales Pages
- Requiem of A Lost Knight : You stumbled upon a rather interesting poem about a fascinating figure. A tale of a fallen hero shrouded in mysteries, yet even in the darkness, still shining like the brightest star. Whether or not this poem is written by the hero himself, or merely a tribute from his follower, no one would know.
- Sweet Dreams Are Made of Lies: Deep in the night, a mad librarian mused his thoughts to those unfortunate enough to see him. Be prepared to question your whole life, as your sense of reality would be gone. But don't worry, he's going to keep you safe and sound there. In fact, you might enjoy your new comfy home, where you can sleep peacefully, lulled by his sweet lies.
- Cycle of Life: Nature is not always the most gentle, as many disasters was part of nature too. This painfully beautiful poem shows the harsh love of nature, because death is indeed part of the cycle of life too. Thus, death is inevitable for all that lives.
Honorable Mentions
Here are pages that are not created by me, but are somewhat connected to the Crimsonverse. Some of them are my own contributions for others, and some of them are gifts of others to me. Either way, they're honorably linked to the overarching story of the Crimsonverse.
- The Jester : One of the most powerful being in the Backrooms, and theorized to be connected to the Crown of the Throne. The Jester is theorized to be the "Joker of the Court" as the de facto ruler when there's no successor of the crown.
- The Keymaster : Widely considered as the holder of the Key of Salvation; One of the Five Treasures of the Void. Apparently, also has some connections with entities of the Crimsonverse, especially the Crimson Wanderer and the Storyteller.
- The Historian : What seems to be the polar opposite of the Storyteller, as the two act like two side of the same coin. One tells lies through fictions, and one bring truth through facts. Both of them are librarians of the greatest libraries in the Backrooms. (W.I.P)
- The Verdant King : A mysterious "Prime Entity" theorized to be connected to the Verdant Queen, also known as the Gardener. Both of them are also tied to the Verdant Children, which might be related to the Verdant Church in the Land of Predators.
- The Mail Carrier : Some consider him as the Storyteller's butler, although the is yet to be proven. Considering all the mysteries surrounding the entity, then no one could tell who is the truly master of the entity.
- King of Normality : Originally, the king is an obvious copy of the Crimson Wanderer and lack an original identity. Then, I revamped the page by remaking the concept of the entity, transforming it from a generic warlord to an enigmatic shapeshifting traveler.
- Mater Lunae : COMING UP SOON!
