Background
Over the course of the past two months, there has been a significant increase in the amount of missing persons cases across the United States. Most of these individuals have disappeared in seemingly ordinary circumstances, such as while shopping, while driving on a highway, or while in bed. Numerous eyewitnesses of a significant share of the disappearances have all claimed that those who disappeared “fell through the floor” or simply vanished.
As a result, the F.B.E.A. has taken a great interest in these cases. Several individuals who returned have been detained and are undergoing questioning; many have claimed to have entered an “office” or “mono-yellow maze”. What follows is a transcript of the interview of ████████████, who disappeared on 12/02/1987 and returned to his house on 12/27/1987.
<Commence>
Operative 031: Hello. We'd like you to answer some questions about this “mono-yellow area” you encountered earlier. To start, how did you get there exactly?
Interviewee: So I was going to my job. You know, the regular 9 to 5. But on my way there, something happened. I don't know how to explain it, but it was like I fell through the sidewalk. I passed out, and when I woke up… I was there.
Operative 031: Could you please describe the place?
Interviewee: Well, as you said before, the walls were this weird, nasty hue of yellow, and the rooms seemed to go on forever. There was this damp carpet on the floor, and it was like this for as far as I could see. I even took a picture. Here, I think I have it.
Operative 031: What did you do upon ending up there?
Interviewee: What do you think you would do if you ended up in a fucking maze with walls that look like someone pissed all over them? You'd probably look for the nearest way out. So I did that. I walked around the place, looked for a way out of there, or at least some answers to where the hell I was at.
Operative 031: Well, what did you find while wandering this place?
Interviewee: I just found more of the same shit. Occasionally, I’d see some random item in one of the rooms. It was almost like they just ended up here with me. I even think heard some weird noises. Growling, scratching, screaming, footsteps. They were faint, but you could still hear them if you listened. Now I’m not even sure if those things were real. Eventually, I was too exhausted to go further, and I took a goddamn nap.
Operative 031: So, how did you get out?
Interviewee: …I woke up, and… found myself buried in the carpet.
Operative 031: Excuse me, could you repeat that again?
Interviewee: …I- I was buried in the carpet. I was clawing my way out, but anything I seemed to do only buried me deeper. I was about to give up, but at the last moment, I decided to put in one last effort. As you can see, it worked.
Operative 031: Do you recall how you got out?
Interviewee: I started running. I don't know how long I was running, but all I noticed is that the sound of footsteps was getting closer. I didn't look to see what was behind me, but the footsteps were getting faster. They were just behind me, then… I fell through the ground. I was back at the normal world. I guess God or Jesus or whatever decided I should live today.
Operative 031: What did you do afterwards?
Interviewee: First I went back to my house. When I got back to Earth, I somehow wound up five miles from where I got in. Then I got the fuck out of there. Moved out of that town. Packed my bags, quit my job, and got a new house. If I'm being honest?
Interviewee: I never want to see that place again.

> We have evidence of an alternate reality.
> Not only that, but we've got more people being interviewed. One even talked about another area of this newly discovered reality.
We need an outpost in there as soon as possible. <
