An image of a Door entity.
Description
Doors are the main entity that inhabit Level 0.7. The entities resemble typical doors; they can be opened, and there will be a room behind them. However, this is not the case for this entity. Affected Doors will lead to empty rooms of varying size and furnishment. According to various reports, this entity has a chance to become "hostile" and change their interior for those who attempt to open them - an event dubbed the "Doorpocalypse". Signs this event may have occurred are:
- Exit signs being present above the doors; they are seemingly meant to lure prey into thinking they contain an exit, but instead lead to a fate worse than death itself;
- Leading to a room infested with entities;
- Mimicking sounds of other wanderers, for example: "Help me!" and "Is someone there?".
Doors may also come in different sizes and variations:
- Double Doors
- Metal Doors
- Wooden Doors
- Fire Exits
- Trap Doors
A Door using a exit sign to lure its prey.
It is theorized that Doors may be closely related to Window entities, as they share similar properties and attributes.
Doors may be present in all of the levels of the Backrooms, but their "hostility" may depend on the implicit danger of each level.
Do's and Don'ts
Do
- Avoid Doors during the "Doorpocalypse" event;
- Attempt to hear any noises behind doors as a precaution before opening them; if you hear something behind it, do not enter it.
Don't
- Enter Doors during the "Doorpocalypse" event;
- Trust any door with a exit sign above it;
- Trust sounds of other wanderers behind any doors; they may lead to The Void.
