"Electrical Tennis Balls" are special objects found throughout the backrooms.
A retrived Type 2 electrical tennis ball found in Level 4
Contents
Description
These items are typical tennis balls that have been seemingly charged and infused with pure energy through unknown means. The apperance of the tennis balls can vary based on the different types, (listed below). These objects are extremely rare but are pretty worth it when found. When thrown, the ball fly towards the nearest living organism/entity (besides the person/thing that threw it). If no other living organism/entity is in range of the thrown ball, the ball will fall straight to the floor and must be retrived in order to throw it again. If an entity or another living organism is nearby, the tennis ball will start to reach dangerously high speeds that have been estimated that it can range from 115.8 mph (miles per hour) and 751 mph (dispite having a weak throw, a used/old/broken tennis ball .etc). The ball will be engulfed in pure electrical energy as it flies through the air and will strike the foe(s) with devastating force of electricity and energy on impact. Dispite the tennis ball gathering so much force and energy, the impact seems to have no damaging effect on the actual tennis ball itself. 87% of cases of an entity or explorer being hit with the electrical tennis ball will be dead or incapacitated, while the other 13% being severly injured or paralyzed for long periods of time. Due to this object being extremely rare and somewhat dangerous, M.E.G has conducted some tests on how the objects would react to different situations or structures (See tests recorded below this file).
Types
There are 3 types of the electrical tennis balls.
Type 1
This is the first type of this is the standard electrical tennis ball. It looks like a regular tennis ball which means it can be hard to hard to distinguish from regular sport tennis balls. It's the same kind described in the description above and is the most common one to be found.
Type 2
This is the second type of the electrical tennis ball. This is pretty much a type 1 tennis ball but it has electric-tape on it. The tape can cover from 75% to 15% of the tennis ball. Attempts to remove the tape has failed, it is belived to be "fused" or physically apart of the tennis ball (see image for visualization). A few changes have been noticed when tested. It's maxium speed increases from 751 mph to 810.5 mph and the ball seems to have more electrical charge to it when thrown. There are currently only 23 of these recorded and held by M.E.G, it's currently unknown how many more of this type exist.
Type 3
This is the third type of the electrical tennis ball. This is an electrical tennis ball that has a solid 50% colored electric-tape covered tennis ball and the other side is the same base as a Type 2 electrical tennis ball. The colors of the tape can be green, red, blue and black. A few changes have been noticed when each color has been tested. There are only 7 of these in possession by M.E.G, 3 green, 2 red and 1 of both blue and black.
- The green color means that the it's maxium speed increases from 810.5 mph to 1015 mph and minimum speed increases from 115.8 mph to 350 mph. This color is the most common one to find from the other tape colors.
- The red color means the tennis ball's electric charge and impact have been hugely improved. The improvements are currently unrecordable due to the lack of technology that M.E.G has acquired. This is a fairly common/rare-ish one to find throughout the backrooms.
- The blue color means that the tennis ball has a teleporting ability and instead of homing towards the target, it'll teleport behind or above the targeted person/entity and then continue to home to the target to finish. This is a rare one to find.
- The black color is the strongest and the most dangerous one to get and use. It's impact, speed, electrical power and overall stats have the estimated equivalent to a whopping 20 of green-colored, Type 3, electrical tennis balls. It has been recorded of almost 10,000 volts surging through the ball when thrown. This is the rarest to find. As of now, only 1 of these have been found by M.E.G.
Tests
M.E.G has conducted some tests regarding if this object is even legal for use in the backrooms.
| Type tested | Who tested? | Tested on? | After Results |
|---|---|---|---|
| Type 1 | A M.E.G Agent | An adult male faceling | Male faceling suffered various severe injuries in the upper part of the body, died 2 minutes after testing. Tennis ball and M.E.G agent unharmed upon impact. |
| Type 2 (19% covered) | An unnamed explorer | A group of entities | Explorer threw the tennis ball at the horde of entities chasing him while running. All entites died upon impact, explorer suffered minor injuries upon impact and now diagnosed with PTSD. |
| Type 2 (54% covered) | [REDACTED] | A Partygoer | [REDACTED] tossed the tennis ball at a partygoer in an attempt to flee. Upon impact, the partygoer and [REDACTED] got flung to the walls of Level 1. Partygoer died upon impact while [REDACTED] broke 32 bones and suffered severe head truma. |
| Type 3 (Green) | A M.E.G Agent | A wall infested with Wall Worms | The M.E.G Agent tossed the tennis ball at the infested wall in an attempt to get rid of the infestation. Upon impact, the wall fell apart and all worms died. The M.E.G Agent suffered no injuries. |
| Type 3 (Red) | An Aiden protecting a wanderer | A horde of Smilers | The Aiden threw the tennis ball with extreme power at the horde. Upon impact, all smilers were gone. Both the Aiden and the wanderer survived with no injuries. |
| Type 3 (Blue) | A wanderer that goes by the name "Ed" | His exploration group (of 16 people) | Ed in anger, welded the tennis ball and threw it at his group. The group and Ed all suffered severe mental and physical trauma. This resulted in 5 casulties and 11 fatalities. (Footnote: A M.E.G member was watching this whole scene play out and was unharmed in any way) |
| Type 3 (Black) | [REDACTED] | Level FUN =) | The aftermath of this event (or "test) was so disturbing that the data shall remain secret, unless otherwise specified by M.E.G Overseers. |
Do's and Don'ts
Do's:
- Only use in an emergency situation or to fend off a wave of entities
- Defend yourself from more than a few entities
- Store it in a safe spot, if necessary
- Use it in an open area
- Retrive all Type 3's to M.E.G
Don'ts:
- Use it like a toy
- Throw it at a single entity
- Toss it in a confined area
- Throw it at your friends/group for fun
- Discard it
- Give it to a hostile/intelligent entity (Unless it's an Aiden)
- Accidently throw/drop it
