““you use -- too much like i used to; em dashes should be used sparingly.”

Em Dash Island is an anomalous location sited within the Backrooms.
Description
Em Dash Island—also commonly referred to as The Isle of Dashes—is an island of approximately 7 by 15 kilometers located on an endless freshwater sea. The vegetation on the island is abundant—as one may be trapped within the vast number of leaves and vines—small pockets of muddy water—quicksand—and slippery surfaces especially during rainfall. It should be noted that bringing any containers that are vulnerable to leakages are to be avoided when traversing through the island due to these conditions.
The level's topography consists of meandering terrain—as inconsistencies of height is often intensified by cliffs situated on the ground—boulders—and rocky outcrops interspersed across the landscape. For its subterranean surfaces—hidden caves and valleys can be accessed via small cavities on sides of mounds. However—the presence of small rivers and lakes dispersed throughout the island may result in the flooding of these underground formations during periods of heavy rainfall.
An obelisk—presumably representing an em dash—sits atop a large pedestal at the center of the island—with canopies on four of its sides as protection against the occasional thunderstorm that may occur in a 2 week-long interval. Additionally—an anomalous feature has been observed that triggers a translucency phenomenon in its proximal—including physical bodies such as organisms—human bodies—and objects. Since its design as a punctuation mark—the obelisk's intended purpose is uncertain in that the estimated age of the obelisk is approximately 5,000 years old—predating the first known use of em dashes.
Excluding the main structure of the level—the obelisk at the center—there seems to be a lack of human presence within the island—as no encounters with foot markings—litter—fire pits—and so forth have ever been reported. Numerous fishing boats and luxurious yachts are scattered throughout the perimeter of Em Dash Island without apparent reason—and given their seemingly recent production—they possess pristine qualities which enables the ability to cruise these vehicles around the island. Nevertheless—it is ill=advised to not attempt to journey to the vast ocean—as a depletion of fuel may leave one stranded.
