Description

Stargazers are dark, inky like creatures with insanely long necks, so long in fact, nobody has seen the body of a Stargazer, if there even if one, their necks are like rods that bend and twist in any way the Stargazer needs it to. The eyes of a Stargazer look like stars of any color except white, while most have 2 eyes, some of the stronger ones have 4 eyes. There is also a rarer variant of Stargazer with 4 white eyes, and non-glowing stars along the neck, known as a Prime Stargazer.

Behaviors

Behavior

Stargazers are mostly passive entities, as they will watch from afar, and on rare instances communicate with people for a short amount of time, despite having no mouth. If you were to try and combat a stargazer, they will attempt to fight back briefly but once it has landed it's "attack" it will flee

Entity Attacks

A Stargazer has no real way of hurting you (However if you were to attack a cluster of 10+ Stargazers, the amount of flashing colors could overload your brain), all a Stargazer has to defend itself is a brief flash from its eyes that causes temporary blindness, nausea, and lost control of limbs for around 5 seconds. The effects of the flash are increased when a 4 eyes uses its flash and lasts around 10 seconds.

A Prime Stargazer flash is reportedly far more dangerous, as the effects could last up to a minute, along side that though, after the main flash effects have worn off, you are put in this hallucinogen state, which prevents you from thinking straight, causes weak limbs, and drowsiness for 10 minutes.

How to survive an encounter

1: Don't act hostile towards the Stargazer

2: Wear Sunglasses

3: As pretty as they are, do not stare at the eyes of a Stargazer for a prolonged period of time.

Biology

Appearance

Stargazers are, put to its absolute simplest, flashbang slime snakes, as they are made of a fluid that, when attached to the creature, feels similar to that of putty. They have a near infinite neck, as nobody has seen, or recorded seeing the body of a Stargazer, if it exists.

Functions

Despite how long the neck of a Stargazer is, it is able to maneuver it's way around the backrooms quite easily, as it is almost entirely made of the fluid, it is able to slip through tight spaces such as vents or even holes as small as 7 centimeters

Discovery

The first recorded sighting of a Stargazer was taken in an unknown level:

This also happens to be the first Prime Stargazer encounter on record.

Slaying a Stargazer

If you manage to kill a stargazer, it will let out a screech, alerting nearby stargazers to flee the area. Once it is dead, you are able to harvest the fluid the entity is comprised of, which is known as Stardust Fluid. If you were to attempt harvesting the fluid from a living Stargazer, the Stardust fluid will attempt to get back to its Stargazer, and after around 20 seconds of being detached, the fluid becomes a gas and is unusable. It is unknown as to why killing it removes this property.

Stardust Fluid Properties

Liquid

When in its liquid state, Stardust Fluid is near impossible to keep in your hand, having the consistency of quicksilver, when drank, Stardust Fluid causes whoever has drunk it's eyes to glow a bit, and allows better vision in darker places, but at the cost of a constant dull headache. Another useful property the Stardust Fluid has is activated when shot from the squirt gun (object 19), it will shoot a random colored slime that sticks to all surfaces and will reflect some of the light that hits it, effectively a liquid mirror.

Gas

In its gas state, not much happens other than it being now permanently unusable.

Solid

When in its solid state, it gains rubberish properties, but on an immense scale. EX: Shoes with Starry Rubber soles will allow for better movement, as you could jump higher, or if you were to kick off of a wall, you would gain a lot of forwards momentum. It could be used for things such as armor to absorb what could have been normally fatal blows from entities, or for transporting fragile objects. Though, Starry Rubber does have a bit of a down side, when colliding with something, it makes a springy like noise that you would hear come out of an old cartoon, which could alert nearby entities of your presence, this problem can be fixed by mixing liquid silence to the stardust fluid while making whatever it is you choose to make.
