Description[]
““When the Mimicry entity roams the infinite hallways, there is a sense of foreboding that spreads like a thick fog. Its abnormal behavior is a warning sign to all wanderers who may cross its path. Its ability to mimic the sounds of loved ones is a cruel trick, designed to lure its prey closer to its grasp. And when it catches its victim, it shows no mercy in its torture, tearing their body apart and consuming the remains. The Mimicry entity is a creature to be feared and avoided at all costs.”
Entity 39, also known as Mimicry,is a very dangerous being that most M.E.G operatives are unaware of. Only a small number of people who have met it in the endless corridors of the backrooms know about its existence. Each person sees Entity 39 differently, based on their own memories and experiences. Typically, it is described as a smoky figure with a disturbing face and thin, scattered hair.
Mimicry is a patient hunter that often lurks around windows and doors, waiting for unsuspecting wanderers to cross its path. Despite its weak physical form, it possesses unique abilities that make it a formidable opponent. It is said to be able to mimic the sounds of loved ones in The Frontrooms, luring its prey into a false sense of security before it strikes. When it detects a wanderer nearby, it will pursue them relentlessly, forcing them to run as far as they can. Those who fall victim to Mimicry will experience a fate worse than death as they are tortured in the most horrifying ways imaginable before being torn to shreds and wrapped in cocoons made of their own bones and internal organs. Mimicry will then consume their remains.
Although it is difficult to kill this entity, powerful weapons are capable of doing so. However, most weapons will merely phase through its body. Despite its fearsome reputation, Mimicry is not a fast entity, making it easier to outrun with one's own speed. Its large size can also be a disadvantage as it sometimes bumps into objects, giving wanderers extra time to find escape routes away from it. Nevertheless, its long body allows it to easily grab and ensnare its prey with its spindly fingers.
Behaviors[]
““I am the voice of your loved ones, the shadows lurking in the corners of your mind. You cannot escape me, for I am the Mimicry. I will chase you down the endless halls and feast upon your fear and pain. Your screams will be music to my ears as I tear you apart, leaving nothing but bones and remnants of your existence. You cannot kill me, for I am beyond your mortal weapons. You are mine to toy with and destroy. Welcome to the Backrooms, where the Mimicry awaits.”
A Mimicry's behavior is unpredictable and can range from wandering aimlessly to actively pursuing its prey. When there are no wanderers around, it will scratch the walls and carpet, making strange noises and exhibiting abnormal behavior. It seems to be restless and agitated when left alone for too long, indicating that it may require stimulation or interaction to remain active.
When a wanderer is nearby, Entity 39 will often mimic the noises of their loved ones in the Frontrooms to lure them in. Once it has caught sight of the wanderer, it will begin to pursue them relentlessly, forcing them to run as fast as possible to escape. The entity seems to take pleasure in the chase and will continue to pursue the wanderer until it has either caught them or lost interest. If a Mimicry catches a wanderer, it will subject them to an excruciating and horrifying death. It will torture them before tearing their body to shreds and wrapping bones and internal organs into cocoons. It then eats the remains of the corpse. The psychological trauma inflicted by the entity can be just as devastating as the physical injuries, leaving wanderers traumatized for life.
Despite the devastating effects of Entity 39's attacks, there are ways to defend against it. Powerful weapons can penetrate its body, but most weapons will merely phase through it, making it extremely difficult to kill. However, its lack of speed means that it is easy to outrun, and its large body can sometimes lead it to bump into objects, giving wanderers extra time to escape. Its long body makes it difficult for it to control itself and catch wanderers, but it can still easily grab a person with its hands due to the length of its body.
Biology[]
““In the Backrooms, when the walls seem to close in and the air grows thick with dread, beware the Mimicry. It will scratch and mimic and pursue, tearing apart all who cross its path. Its form may shift and twist, but its hunger for flesh remains the same. Stay vigilant, for in the infinite halls, nothing is as it seems.”
Mimicry possesses a variety of abilities and characteristics that set it apart from other entities in this strange and unpredictable world. While little is known about its biology, researchers have been able to observe some of its key features and abilities. One of the most notable characteristics of Entity 39 is its amorphous, translucent substance. Its body appears to be made up of a gel-like substance that is both flexible and durable. Its body is also able to stretch and contort in various ways, allowing it to mimic the appearance of other creatures or hide in plain sight. It is also able to change its appearance and behavior in response to its surroundings. It has the ability to mimic the noises of loved ones, making it difficult for wanderers to distinguish it from real human voices. It can also mimic the behavior and movements of other entities or objects, making it even harder to detect and avoid.
One of the most interesting aspects of Entity 39's biology is its ability to absorb memories and past experiences of those it encounters. This suggests that it may have some form of telepathy or ability to manipulate memories. This information is then used to create a more convincing facade when it is mimicking other creatures or objects. Despite its lack of physical strength, Entity 39 possesses special abilities that make up for its weak body form. Its long body can be used to easily grab prey, and its ability to mimic other creatures makes it difficult to detect and avoid. However, it is vulnerable to powerful weapons that are able to penetrate its body.
The biology of the Mimicry is still largely unknown, and further research is needed to better understand its abilities and behavior. The M.E.G continues to conduct research on this and other entities in the Backrooms, in order to gain a better understanding of the Backrooms.
Addendum[]
““"I am the Mimicry, a shape-shifting entity that takes on the form of your fears and memories. I wander the infinite halls, scratching at the walls, waiting for my next prey. When I hear the sound of a loved one, I know it's time to strike. I'll chase you down and drag you into my realm, where I'll torture you until your screams turn to whimpers. And then, I'll feast on your remains.”
