Description[]
Entity 92 (or "Worrids") are elusive creatures that can reveal themselves to more than just people. When an individual becomes self-conscious, a Worrid begins to appear. It is first seen watching from a distance, remaining still for a while before leaving its post and beginning to make its way toward its victim. Eventually, it draws closer and strikes when the individual is distracted and not paying attention. Most encounters end fatally. If the affected person forgets about their insecurity, the Worrid disappears. These entities are not hallucinations—they are visible to all nearby observers. As a result, if one member of a group experiences it, the rest do as well. Though Worrids differ in appearance, each one shares a consistent structure: a head, horns, arms, and claws.
Behaviour[]
Worrids manifest whenever an individual feels self-conscious or experiences a similar form of emotional vulnerability. These entities do not appear in every level.
Initially, they are seen from a distance—perhaps watching from a ledge or behind a wall. During this phase, they remain mostly inactive. If approached too closely, they tend to retreat and relocate to another point farther away, occasionally positioning themselves behind the subject. This observation phase typically lasts between five and ten minutes.
After this, the entity begins to move. It will slowly follow the individual while maintaining distance. Unlike the first phase, it now attempts to remain hidden, making it difficult to determine its position. This stalking phase lasts approximately two to four minutes.
Then, the Worrid begins its approach. If spotted while still at a reasonable distance, it will likely retreat and attempt again when the individual is not looking. However, if it is seen at close range—or reaches the subject unnoticed—it will pounce and begin its attack. Most attacks involve the entity holding the victim’s hands with enough force to cause deep cuts, followed by tearing at the face until the heartbeat fades away. In rare cases, if the victim is able to fight back, the attack may change. The Worrid will flee when sufficiently injured or be killed outright.
At present, the whereabouts of surviving Worrids remain unknown. Their attacks are relatively uncommon, as individuals who have noticed them once are more likely to focus on survival rather than the insecurity that summoned the entity—causing it to retreat before it can attack. However, Worrids are gradually evolving to become better at hiding themselves, increasing the fatality rate of their attacks by an estimated 2–10% each year.
Biology[]
Worrids have a simple structure, consisting of a head, a body, horns, and legs. Their legs, claws, and horns are made of a specialized metal known as Worrium (symbol: Wo). They can have up to 15 pairs of legs, as Worrids are centipede-like. The head and body are covered in a durable outer shell. In most cases, the body is segmented to allow for smoother movement; however, in some instances, it remains unsegmented and instead bends or stretches to accommodate motion. Worrids without segmented bodies are believed to become endangered in the future.
Masks[]
Worrids possess what are known as "Masks"—distinct forms that individuals may encounter. These variations are not random; rather, a Worrid’s appearance shifts based on the emotional state of the individual. Depending on what one is thinking about, only the corresponding Mask will appear. There are four commonly reported Masks: Entity 92-A, 92-B, 92-C, and 92-D. Other variants remain documented but have been observed by significantly fewer individuals.
Entity 92-G, GA, GB, GC, and GD lack horns and are presumed extinct, as no sightings have occurred—and no new G-series variants have been found—in over two years. It is believed that these forms have been replaced by Entity 92-C, which now appears in response to feelings of guilt related to events affecting others, a role previously fulfilled by the G-series. The presumed cause of extinction is their lack of horns; without them, defensive capabilities were limited, making it easier to strike the entity’s head—particularly due to its vulnerable shape.

Discovery[]
The Worrid was officially discovered on 7 April 1981. Little else is known about the circumstances surrounding its appearance. It is possible that the entity had been encountered prior to this date; however, the earliest confirmed photograph was recovered on that day. The image has since been destroyed.
Worrium[]
Worrium is a metal found in the legs, claws, and horns of Worrids. Its chemical symbol is Wo, and it shares many similarities with Tungsten (W), as known in the Frontrooms. When embedded in the body of a Worrid, Worrium may resemble a cluster of staples.
- It does not transfer electricity but it seems to conduct heat pretty well.
- Its malleability is quite low.
- It is not elastic at all.
- It has low ductility.
- Its density is 9.2 g/cm³.
- Its melting point is 2992°C.
- Its usually a range of dull and shiny.
When in contact with human skin, Worrium gradually induces irritation. This reaction does not cause damage to the affected area; instead, it causes pain that eventually subsides. Worrids use this discomfort during attacks to divert the victim’s attention, increasing the likelihood of a successful kill.
To date, Worrium has not been discovered outside of Worrid anatomy or the vicinity of a Worrid attack.
Masks (Appearances)[]
Here is just a list of the Worrid Masks' appearances.
A – These entities have bandaged faces and uneven horns. One horn is typically brown, while the other is a dark red and more curved. Their bodies are green, usually darker than those of other variants.
B – It is unknown whether these entities possess eyes, as a permanent, completely opaque shadow obscures the area. Their faces are light grey. The right horn is dark grey and twisted, while the left is also dark grey but severed, leaving behind a stump. Their bodies are unsegmented, red, and veiny.
C – Their faces are slightly darker than those of Type B, but unlike B, a portion is removed and replaced to the side, exposing the interior. The exposed tissue is grey—so dark it appears nearly jet black. Their horns are black and curved, and their eyes are dark and lifeless. The body is segmented, but like Type A, it is grey rather than green.
D – These entities have black faces devoid of any features. Their horns are dark gold in colour and curve outward to the sides. The segmented body is composed of bone and is always slightly cracked. Type DA also bears white markings across most of the face.
E – All Type E entities have faces split into black and white halves. The left side is jet black, featuring a single eye and a smile drawn in what resembles crayon, while the right side has a single black circle in place of an eye (Type EB lacks this feature). Types E and EB possess one green horn on the right and one purple horn on the left. Type EC has two purple horns, while Type EA has two green.
F – All Type F entities have white, triangular heads with two thin black eyes. Type F has a yellow body, Type FA is green, and Types FB and FBA are blue. On Type FB, the left horn is faced the other way.
G – These entities are extinct for two primary reasons. Their heads are round and lack horns, rendering them vulnerable to strikes directly on the head. They are entirely greyscale, possess unsegmented bodies, and feature a faint collar-like structure.
