(sorry if it's kinda bad)
Part 1: Into Level 5
"Hmm... this must be the next level," he said to himself, after climbing the stairs in Level 4. He found himself in a hotel hallway with wooden walls, red patterned carpet, and several doors. "Is this place some sort of hotel?" he thought. "Oh well, let's find out". He rounded a corner to find himself in another hallway, exactly the same as the first. Then, out of nowhere, a beige streak bolted down the hallway, and vanished. "What the...?" the wanderer gasped. Now running, he rounded yet another corner, pursuing the mysterious figure. For a split second, he could've sworn he saw a person on all fours, hair covering its face and an extremely thin body. He was desperate now. He broke into a sprint, down another corridor, but once again, the thing wasn't there. "WHO ARE YOU?" he shouted into the distance. No response. Then, a loud growling came from the hallway up ahead, and then the strange creature came into view. "Was this worth it?" the wanderer thought. No. No it wasn't...
A few minutes after his encounter, he was desperately running down the corridors of the endless hotel, his leg dripping blood and his body shaking. He knew he needed help. Fast. He screamed "MICHAEL? ARE YOU THERE? HELP ME, SOMEONE!". Then, a loud howl filled the corridors. This howl wasn't coming from a creature. It was coming from him. He was transforming. His body was becoming thinner. His hair, longer. His teeth, sharper. His personality, more violent than ever. Gone was the nameless, determined wanderer. He now only knew one thing. Infect.
Michael was indeed nearby. At these words, a chill ran down his spine. He assumed his nameless friend was dead, or even worse, transformed. This particular thought filled his mind as he explored the hotel. An old friend, becoming a monster. He also felt like something was behind him all the time, but there was nothing. Or was there? He thought he saw a half-man half-squid creature walking around the level, or was that just a trick of the eyes? After a while, he had had enough. He yelled "WHY ARE YOU DOING THIS?" in a slightly frustrated manner. He wasn't expecting a response, but that's what he got. "It amuses me."
