Description

Fugu Fish is a pufferfish-like creature found exclusively in Level 7 of the backrooms. There is only one of this entity currently in existence.

Behaviors

Fugu Fish swims in perfect circles of the waters of Level 7. While it swims, it sings a parody of the entirety of "Carmen" about not urinating on the floor. The reasoning of it singing the "floor" portion is unknown, as the fish cannot travel to The Abyss zone of Level 7 because of the severe danger of the zone, therefore it wouldn't know of any flooring that the level may have. Fugu Fish ignores all wanderers by default, not even caring to look at them. The only ways to provoke the fish are either to:

  • Interfere with the circle it moves in, or
  • Urinate in the water

In either of these instances, he will chase down the wanderer in a straight line at a higher speed than the wanderer is moving. It is unknown exactly how higher of a speed the fish moves, because wanderers have died too early to calculate. Once it catches up to the wanderer, it will unhinge its jaw to the size of the wanderer and swallow them whole. Because of this, it is strongly advised to stay away from the Fugu Fish. If in the event that the fish starts chasing you, it is already too late, your fate is already concluded.

Biology

Fugu Fish is 14.85 inches in length and has a flat yellow color. It has bulging eyeballs and large lips. It is not known to have any organs inside of it, other than lungs and a throat, meaning it has no gills, but can breathe in the water without difficulty. The fish can increase its own size indefinitely when provoked, so it is theorized to be able to increase its size infinitely. However, this is undocumented. It is presumed to have extremely cold-resistant skin, since it lives completely in the Daylight Zone of Level 7, where the water is compared to a temperature that of liquid nitrogen (-210 °C/-346 °F).

Discovery

The details of its discovery is unknown at this time.
