Description

A Glitchling

The Glitchlings are the result of a Highly Unstable Level becoming completely glitched, and it's collision with The Void, causing these creatures to rise into Creation.

Glitchlings are tall and glitched Beings that lurk near Unstabilties in The Backrooms or any other Reality. They have been known to cause massive amounts of chaos on various Levels, including the extinction of various other Entities. They come in many shapes and sizes, but they all share nearly identical features. As an example, the seem to be constantly glitching and have spike-like protrusions on their bodies. They have long sharp claws, and have been known to summon glitching white orbs that can send Wanderers into The Void, or a extremely glitched Level. The electric charge and those balls of energy can also be used for combat, as it has been confirmed that only 10 Glitchlings are needed to wipe out a whole M.E.G Base.

They also have a Hive that used to be a Stable Level known as The Glitchfest.

Glitched Hallway caused by a Glitchling. Photographer status unknown.

They are also the source of all glitches in The Backrooms.

Behavior

Glitchlings are hostile by default. They attack anything that moves and will stop at nothing until their prey is either glitched, dead, or banished to The Void. They can momentarily glitch objects and sometimes Levels. One can tell if a level is glitched if nearly every color within the level has vanished and only the color of teal and purple remain. They hunt in packs or alone. They have been known to travel to and from Levels through Glitches.

Glitchlings are extremely fast, probably faster than a Speedling. They have been known to completely glitch out Levels, causing some of those Levels to literally collapse on themselves or self-destruct.

The only way to protect yourselves from these Beings are to have a Anti-Virus Gun on you, that shoot beams of Anti-Virus Codes that can disintegrate Glitchlings.

Biology

Glitchlings are tall and glitched Beings that lurk near Unstabilties in The Backrooms or any other Reality. They have been known to cause massive amounts of chaos on various Levels, including the extinction of various other Entities. They come in many shapes and sizes, but they all share nearly identical features. As an example, the seem to be constantly glitching and have spike-like protrusions on their bodies. They have long sharp claws, and often have their head split into two pieces.
They can cause themselves to become part of the Code/Essence of a Level, causing extreme, even irreversible damage to it. They can also glitch themselves through solid objects.

Discovery

(NOTE: THIS IS CANON TO MY CANON. IF YOU HAVE SOMETHING AGAINST IT, TELL ME.)

They were first discovered after the collapse of Level 379, when the Clock reached 00:00:00. Wanderers that tried to explore the Levels would occasionally see glitching figures while falling through the Void. This was reported by Wanderers that were able to reach Level Pain. Also, they were later seen glitching out large portions of other Levels.

Do:

  • Try to have a Anti-Virus Gun on you at all time if encountering Glitchlings.
  • Exit the Levels they appear in.

Don't:

  • Let yourself be transported to The Void or killed by Glitchlings.

MOTHER GLITCHLING

- .... . / -- --- - .... . .-. .-.-.-

These large Glitching Monsters are the Heads of a Glitchling Hive or Tribe, and give birth to new Glitchlings. They are thought to be nearly indestructible, and are very powerful. As the only known image and one witness of it are the only sources we have of their existances, we cannot be sure if they even exist, hardly know more about them.
