Not really a good place to be in. The food there was average, and the only thing that is good was the decorations.

H.K.'s corporeal form is elusive, as current data suggests that it is merely digital. Its abilities suggest a level of agency and sentience that warrants further investigation.
Description
H.K. is a digital manifestation that publishes customer reviews, detailing anecdotal accounts and experiences allegedly had in certain levels. Providing commentary on various aspects of the levels such as their quality, hazards, and other features, these reviews are typically posted on forums of websites that are accessible within the Backrooms. However, it has been recorded that H.K. also has the power to modify the online documentation of the levels themselves, thereby inserting its own reviews into these pages for viewers to read.
While H.K.'s intelligence is evident from its abilities, the nonsensical nature of some of its stories contradicts this level of intelligence. Some have posited that a programmed algorithm capable of mimicking human-like speech is responsible for the entity's activities, lacking any true consciousness or autonomy. The writing style of H.K.'s reviews is characterized by a blend of formal and informal language, which is focused on providing objective observations of levels. It occasionally alternates between professional and informal tones with perfect grammar, but handfuls of errors including misplaced punctuations, contradictory statements, and occasional misspellings of specialized vocabulary terms can still be detected.[1]
Eerily, the reviews published by H.K. have shown the ability to prefigure alterations to the mentioned level's environment. Some hypothesize that this remarkable prescience may indicate an ability on predicting the future, or alternatively, that it is actively causing these alterations itself.
Behavior
Although H.K. tends to remove its traces once discovered, it is known that it exhibits a variety of behaviors in response to comments left on its reviews. When engaging with commenters, H.K. adopts a professional and respectful demeanor, responding with a nuanced approach to address the specific points raised—similar to how internet reviewers routinely behave. In addition, its interactions with commenters have been observed to demonstrate high levels of emotional intelligence, with H.K. responding to comments with a range of tones, from empathetic to analytical.
H.K. also displays a persistent pattern of reinstating its reviews when they are removed. Concerted efforts made to impede the entity's access to the platform and erasing its content has been continuously unsuccessful, as H.K. shows remarkable resourcefulness in finding ways to republish its content. This behavior has prompted conjecture that H.K. is adept at using sophisticated evasion techniques, such as leveraging multiple accounts with different IP addresses.
Some have likened H.K.'s behavior to that of a food critic or travel writer, as its behavior appears to lack any discernible ulterior motive beyond consistently reviewing the various levels within the Backrooms. It largely remains neutral, refraining from taking sides on reviews and any explicit responses on its motives and abilities, providing little to no information. Only known to entirely disappear when discovered, it usually chooses to display no more than a cryptic message on forums and its profile description.
Discovery
The first documented encounter with H.K. was discovered from an archived forum thread dedicated to survival guides for levels of the Backrooms. Comprised of a dialogue involving three individuals, H.K., identified by the username "hellokitty13," made the second comment in the discussion—a brief question that asked, "hey, how many stars?" With its statement posted, which was followed by confusion among users within the thread, people began to speculate on its implications.

ENIGMA!

let's play a game of hide n seek?
okay! 👍

Count the sheep, for the stars that fill the sky with their shimmering light. With each one a glowing beacon in the vast expanse above, it is an endless and hypnotic glow. Shall it decide, when one is caught sleeping, the midnight turns darker.
The darker night is upon thee, as stars fade from sight. And buildings turns to plants, roads become the grass, a way out is sparse. When anything can come to be, when amidst the darkness and the fear, we find a path that's ever clear.
Stars so bright, angels carve their faces upon it. Light up beauty and radiance within the sky—the darkest night be the one to guide us. Count the sheep in the constellations, for the way the stars leap. Will our hands be set, or be let?
So much time before the soft tendrils of morning light pierced through my windows, I awakened to a world imbued with the gentle symphony of nature. A cool breeze swept over the fields, whispering secrets of far-off lands as it danced through the tall grass. Peering out from the comfort of my cabin, I marveled at the sun's ascent over the rolling hills, its warm rays caressing the landscape with a golden touch. Time seemed to stretch luxuriously, offering me a precious respite before the chimes of my alarm would demand my attention.
That morning, in anticipation of the day ahead, I had organized my cabin the night before, ensuring that everything found its proper place. Everything was arranged; however, my fastidiousness did not end with the arrangement of material possessions. I made my bed, tucking in the sheets and plumping the pillows; it was a ritual that evoked the enchanting promise of embarking on a whimsical journey, akin to stepping into a cherished memory or a cherished dream.
My day unfolded in perfect synchrony with the rhythm of my routine. The steaming cup of coffee I just brewed had cocoa beans I roasted the night before; with each sip, I savored the bittersweet freshly brewed coffee beans, intertwining with the crispness of the morning breeze. From my vantage point, I observed the grand ballet orchestrated by the towering trees, their branches swaying in graceful unison as the wind whispered secrets amongst their rustling leaves. Such tranquility, such serenity, filled my being with an ineffable sense of contentment.
Sole fish, with their darting silhouettes animating the shimmer river beckoned to me. Eagerly, I envisioned catching these aquatic treasures, resurfacing the memories of childhood—it reminds of my mother's cooking in the kitchen. Fridays were special, for it was on these nights that she would prepare her signature dish—a simple yet sublime concoction of butter, lemon, salt, pepper, parsley, and, of course, the cherished sole fish.
Rest is for the day too, as it waned and the light began to fall from the horizon, a path not previously noticed revealed itself to me. I followed its winding course, which led me to a hidden field adorned with cotton. How had I overlooked this ethereal wonder before? The setting sun cast its radiant glow upon the fluffy tufts, transforming them into gossamer clouds of shimmering gold. Entranced by the beauty before me, I surrendered to the enchantment, allowing it to guide my footsteps homeward.

Those who are present during an alteration ████████ by H.K. shall encounter an instance where certain areas appear to bear stars or star-related objects, such as decorations, lights, or constellations if the level's environment takes place outdoors. These areas, if entered, would have a profound effect on the occupant; it has been described as "a macabre process where organisms liquify to be turned into stars." And as it also affects objects, anything that comes into contact with these areas must be left to be absorbed due to the potential and widespread damage it can induce to the surrounding environment.
As H.K.'s regional, star-laden domains do not affect surrounding areas immediately after appearance, it is theorized that each area that is affected by one of its instances are simply undergoing a loading/out of service state. Such event only happens during the initial period of H.K.'s contamination, however. Further transmission may occur during later stages or upon contact by an object, and any attempts to impede an instance of H.K. from spreading are discouraged, given the absence of any effective methods.
In subsequent occurrences, H.K.'s contamination displays an unusual mode of transmission; rather than spreading gradually and slowly saturate a certain area, the contamination instantaneously permeates the adjacent region after several minutes. This results in a distinct disorganization of procedurally generated inaccessible regions, forcing wanderers to navigate through maze-like pathways as the placement and amount of unstained and corrupted areas are haphazardly distributed. Any plants and fungi that come in contact with H.K.'s exhibit a pronounced and accelerated growth response, likely stimulated by the entity's gene-modifying abilities. This mutation would develop branch-like appendages that act as another mode of further transmission, though it can be easily terminated with temperatures above 1000°C(1832°F).
The impact of H.K.'s contamination give rise to peculiar temporal anomalies that confound conventional notions of time within the area they manifest. Upon entering these affected areas, individuals experience disruptions in the flow of time, namely slowing down, speeding up, or even looping, creating a distorted perception of temporal progression. Certain cases wherein this phenomenon occurs, especially if most surface area of the level is engulfed, would result in a time loop of unknown duration as any examinations has found nothing of note.
Following the time-shifting effect, the structural integrity of reality within the affected areas undergo fragmentation and dissolution. This event dramatically alters the level's initial appearance; formerly stable and cohesive entities, including buildings, landscapes, and objects, exhibit erratic and mutable characteristics; geometric proportions become distorted, defying conventional laws of physics; and objects experience temporal instability, flickering in and out of existence or assuming disparate forms with erratic temporal patterns. The status of the level as of this event remains indefinite, although it is presumably at this juncture a makeover of the level starts, hence explaining the changes to the environment.

Death resulting from H.K. can be characterized as a state where consciousness does not disappear completely. Although the brain remains functionally active—the neurons within still creating connections and generate electrical impulses—following complete engulfment, the physical body undergoes severe destruction and decomposition that leads to a tenuous existence of consciousness. Despite the organs being consumed by an intense and incomprehensible level of heat and energy, sensory perception persists.
That morning awoken a cotton field,
its brightness lit up the skies of dusk;
I watched as stars pass through by the hills,
its shimmering lights accompany its soft friends.
Those who enter with baskets, wound up to be placed in them:
Sightless, soundless, and invisible.
Deep in the field, the sky's celestial tapestry traversed through the northern;
I began to approach them—its bright stars the glamor.
The stag, one of its antler a fragment incomplete, never graced our presence again.
A dark cold, lurking amidst a dense foliage, erases twinkling constellations;
Should the edges fold upon me, it is ought to grow.
Is it an odd transition, an end, or a nascent genesis?
Mind that I'm going to be trapped in the stars, questioning
When? Where? And how?
Found myself hiding beneath the stems
I didn't want to realize the reality,
As anxiety alleviate through my path.
I's scared, but smiled when each was answered, where each was answered, and how.
I know the more I believe, the waves would calm.
I believe in God;
I believe in mynself, know every path's right;
I believe in the path I put my footsteps on;
I believe where I go is escape;
I believe if I believe, I don't need to know;
I believe my faith better my fate;
I know if I believe, I don't need anything.
So, I prayed.
Lord, make me an instrument of your peace:
where there is hatred, let me sow love;
where there is injury, pardon;
where there is doubt, faith;
where there is despair, hope;
where there is darkness, light;
where there is sadness, joy.
O divine Master, grant that I may not so much seek
to be consoled as to console,
to be understood as to understand,
to be loved as to love.
For it is in giving that we receive,
it is in pardoning that we are pardoned,
and it is in dying that we are born to eternal life.
Amen.
One last thing before the reborn,
One last thing before eternal life:
Is that my faith shall remain in this realm,
For the light ahead won't exist without it.
I opened my eyes to reveal the end of the tunnel,
Yet there was nothing:
No light, no tunnel, as if it didn't exist.
Darkness awaits, my dear.
Questions asked, it answers;
Steps taken, it follows;
And when it hears you, it—
But then, I realized.
I was never in the cotton field,
I was . . . floating . . .
The morning, the sun, and the fields.
Those were . . .
