Extinct Entity: Ice Crawler

Entity Number: 976

Description

The Ice Crawler is a blue 16 legged spider that makes people go mad, winds them up in a very stringy, nylon-like silk and devours them. There are no reported images, but there are drawings of it, via witnesses. The Ice Crawler will occasionally have a piece of ice crawl around its leg and then fly off via friction. This ice is edible, and it has a orangey taste, with the ever so slight taste of stomach acid, as if it’s excreting frozen stomach acid. It’s mainly docile, and tamable, however, there is a catch. If one were to provoke it, or smell very distinct and bad, it would alert the Crawler. Soon after, it would start scuttling around in circles, while emitting a gas that alerts other Crawlers to come and stun you with their poison. The gas, if inhaled, will slowly drain the Traveler’s sanity and eventually put them in a coma, After that, they wind you up and devour you.

Biology

The Ice Crawler is made of an unknown, icy fabric with the toughness of leather. This fabric can be collected and made into very insulating coats or scarfs. Getting it is not an easy task, and is a well kept secret. The Ice Crawlers innards consist of ice, water and slush, with a red heart in the center, bobbing around with many blue veins connecting to it. The bottom of its stomach is very baggy and almost hanging. This heart contains a drinkable liquid, however, this liquid contains side effects similar to that of the Influenza vaccine. A dead Crawler will start leaking out the ice, slush and water, eventually becoming just a pile of fabric. (NOTE: KILLING IT WILL NOT GIVE YOU ACCESS TO THE FABRIC COLLECTION. IT NEEDS TO BE CUT, AND THE ITEM TO DO SO IS UNDOCUMENTED AND SECRET.)
