Nothing Lasts Forever...
Notice:
New pages for both storylines!
So yeah, we've had a lot of work recently because of Canonthon and some ongoing rewrites, but after months we finally came out with the second chapters for both the main storyline and the trinity storyline. We will most likely now focus on finishing the rewrites we still haven't finished and then return to the storylines again.
Oh and there's also an extra page for trinity that I snuck in, hehe
Thats all for now. We'll be back!-TaxiLoading audio, refresh page if this doesn't go away...
Hi there, and welcome to Ineterna, a canon that was created by me, Astral. Originally, I started this canon with the vision of combining all my level and lore ideas into one cohesive canon, but it soon became a passion project of mine, and actually sparked my passion of writing that I never knew I had.
The Backrooms
It's an eerie, unsettling name.
But what are they, really? The truth is, nobody truly knows.
The Backrooms is a universe that defies logic and understanding. It is a never ending descent into the unknown, a place where the rules of reality fall apart and collapse entirely.
In stark contrast to The Backrooms is its antithesis, The Frontrooms. This realm is the embodiment of what is considered to be real and known. This universe is remarked as the True Reality, the world of familiarity from which all human life had originated.
The Backrooms on the other hand is very different. It is considered the False Reality, where the laws of physics begin to fall apart. This isn't a mere distortion or parallel of the familiar, but rather a separate universe altogether, defying normal logic and rules.
The Backrooms is composed of numerous levels and sublevels that all exist within a universal bubble, some vast and some confined. Each level operates with its own set of rules and logic that defy the confines of normal reality. The geometry of The Backrooms is also alien. Hallways loop on themselves, rooms shift, and the very concept of euclidity and direction begin to fall apart.
The vast differences between The Frontrooms and The Backrooms have caused a unique bond to form between the two universes. The two realms with contrasting rules of familiarity and surreal distortion have caused them to coexist in a beautiful harmony, maintaining a perfect equilibrium that would seem to go on for eons.

Nothing is truly eternal...
After all, everything has an expiration date...
Ineterna revolves around the idea of the true and false realities coexisting in a beautiful, harmonic balance. This balance would bring peace to The Backrooms and The Frontrooms, creating a delicate dance of the unknown, and familiarity. But, such harmony would not last forever. Like a beginning, there always exists an inevitable end. Ineterna explores the idea of what would happen as the everlasting bond between these two universes eventually came to an end.
The Backrooms and The Frontrooms are not eternal, or immortal. Even the most powerful of things do not last forever. Eventually, there will come a point in time where they will decay, and eventually fade away into nothingness. But the question is, how...?
Allow me to explain to you...
Despite how it may seem, The Backrooms and The Frontrooms do not go on forever. The two universes are not infinite in size, and eventually end at a barrier. But what exists beyond this barrier? Surely there had to be something, right? This is what The Void is. It is an boundless space of absolute nothingness that extends a distance far beyond our realm of comprehension. It resides outside of The Backrooms and The Frontrooms entirely. 'The Void' remained stable for eons, bringing peace to the 2 universes.
But, this would soon start to change.
As time passed, the stability of The Void would begin to weaken. The dark, empty expanse, once thought to be dormant, would start to contort and become increasingly unstable. The bond between The Backrooms and The Frontrooms, what was thought to be unbreakable and indestructible, now felt vulnerable and fragile. Both realms were at risk, as The Voids relentless hunger threatened to consume everything in its path.
The Backrooms, a labyrinth of mystery and enigma, would be the first to fall to The Voids rampage. The Frontrooms, a place of normality and familiarity, would soon be caught in this web of destruction. Then, what would remain after that? Nothing. The Void will have consumed everything, leaving only mere remnants floating through the vast nothingness of the once sprawling realms.
But eventually, even those remnants would decay and disappear. What would remain after that..?
Absolute nothingness. Even the smallest remnants would have decayed away, leaving a pure, infinite void...
But is this truly the end...?

A story can't be made without the building blocks...
Behind each crack and crevice, lies something on the inside...
Itβs important to note that while Ineterna is technically considered a canon, itβs also considered to be a storyline aswell. The line between what makes a canon and a storyline is often blurred, with both definitions often being confused with eachother.
Lets review what makes a so-called, "canon."
1. A canon typically creates a unique take on The Backrooms, with its own set of rules, ideas, and logic. It defines how The Backrooms functions within its world.
2. Canons will usually have multiple levels, entities, or phenomena that serve as the foundation. They are what sets up the basis of the theme and lore of the canon.
3. Canons have a consistent tone and feeling that makes the reader imagine what to feel and picture in their mind when reading a page.
Canons can also have storylines aswell, providing a path and journey for readers to follow, making the canon dynamic and engaging. A storyline brings a canon to life, making it more than just a rigid collection of ideas and facts.
If you want to write a page for this canon, ask yourself the following:
1. Does your page fit in with the lore? Does it have a certain tone where it may not reside in the main storyline or the trinity, but still has a tone and concept that makes it fit within the canon lore?
2. Is your page structure similarly to other pages related to Ineterna, either by formatting or tone?
3. Is it good? Does your page have a considerable amount of effort put into it that makes it pass the quality standards?
Once you think you meet this criteria, you can message me, Astral on my message wall! I will choose whether or not your page will be accepted into the canon.
