Description
The Jester is a dangerous humanoid entity, approximately 1.83 meters in height, resembling a medieval court jester in appearance. He carries a long serrated dagger that constantly excretes an as-of-yet unidentified deadly toxin, and a curved sickle. He wears a red and black outfit and hat with gold trim and carries around a lyre and juggling balls. The juggling balls he produces from various pouches and pockets on his clothing, which are presumed to access some kind of extradimensional location. The lyre he plays with the kind of mastery that only a semi-immortal being could have, hypnotizing melodies and lyrics made up on the fly.
His presence is announced by maniacal giggling or distant music before he presumably noclips into the location and jumps out from behind a wall or pillar for "dramatic effect". He claims to be some sort of deity or anti-deity, a balance or mediator of sorts to keep other powerful unique entities in check; stopping them from becoming too powerful. When the power of other omnipotent entities grows, so does his and vice versa. According to The Jester: he is present at every time, in every timeline in every universe, being some sort of multiversal constant. He also says he can see, interact with, and access the memories of his other selves in other realities.
A rare meeting between multiple instances of Jesters from different universes.
His intentions (other than to apparently keep an eye on all the other "gods") are confusing at best and incomprehensible at worst. Multiple instances of him aiding wanderers or singing them a song around a campfire have been reported, however he has on a few occasions, attacked and wounded M.E.G personnel. The Jester is to be regarded with caution and hostility if needed. During various incidents, interviews and encounters, the Jester has shown himself to be far from sane. His mind is a bubbling mess of violence, music and party tricks with occasional bouts of lucidity and seriousness.
The Jester has been an extremely valuable asset in the war against the Verdant King, him being opposed to all entities that become "too powerful". His ability to noclip accurately and intentionally to the point of teleportation has been invaluable to information gathering, where before we could not risk our own. While he is unpredictable and hard to control, he also has an incredible set of combat skills and is one of the best tools in Project Firestarter's arsenal.

The Jester's relations with the other so called "divine beings" of the backrooms change frequently depending on the current circumstances, legends tell of ancient wars between them and battles fought alongside each other. Many somewhat unreliable sources claim that the sickle wielded by the Jester was once stolen from the Gardener, others say that it was a gift from her. The Jester and the Crimson Wanderer were once glimpsed playing cards. The only other confirmed sighting was of the Jester and the Storyteller deep in conversation among the bookshelves of his library.
"Jester of the Court" Theory
The Jester is theorized to be the keeper of ALPHAOMEGA and the Crown of the Throne. The "Jester of the Court" theory suggest that the Jester is the de facto ruler of the Backrooms when there's no one to inherit the Crown, which explains his role to manage the state of the Backrooms. Preventing entities from becoming too powerful, capability of seamless traveling, and his existence as a multiversal constant is theorized to be connected to his role as the keeper of the Court. According to the theory, then the Jester also watched over the Five Treasures of the Void and its holders.
