Level ℎ is an enigmatic level of the Backrooms.
Contents
Description
When you first enter Level ℎ, you will be in a small dimly lit trailer. This trailer has no furniture or supplies. Once you step outside of the trailer you will be surrounded by an infinite cold forest always casted in night, which may have at most a few feet of Dreadful Snow on the ground. There will be a road perpendicular to the starting trailer, and looking down it you will see more trailers. You will need to find shelter quick as the temperature is always -20C (-4F) and many packs of Hounds and Iced Monsters roam outside. Noclipping anywhere in this level will result in you getting respawned at the start trailer.
Blizzards
Blizzards are extremely dangerous in this level, as Dreadful Snow sticks together and falls in sheets of quarter of an inch. These can slam you down hard and even cause concussions. Also, during blizzards, visibility is nearly nothing and winds can get as strong as an EF3 tornado. You should take shelter in a trailer when a blizzard happens as nothing gets uprooted during blizzards in this level.
Trailers
Trailer homes look like slender trailers that are colored on a certain scale. They all look as they were built in the 1940's-1980's. They can have things like cars or dead potted plants around them. None of these have any resources in them.
A trailer's color shows what class it is. Dark green trailers are Class 0, light green trailers are Class 1, yellow trailers are Class 2, orange trailers are Class 3, orange-reddish trailers are Class 4, and finally red trailers are Class 5. The harder the class the more resources are in it but also the more entities there are. Class 0 trailers have no resources, and Class 1 trailers usually only have a small can of almond water. However, Class 5 trailers can have many bottles of almond water, food, weapons, and at least one Royal Ration.
A Class 2 trailer.
Class 0 trailers have no entities. Class 1 trailers have only a couple Smilers or Facelings. Class 2 trailers can have a group of those or an Iced Monster. Class 3 trailers have a mix of many common entities and some Iced Monsters. Class 4 trailers have a barrage of entities, including Partygoers. Finally, Class 5 trailers have an infestation of entities, with at least 25 entities inside of one small trailer. If you want to enter a Class 5 trailer, it is advised to bring a very powerful weapon and armor, and have an entire group with you.
Strange Properties
Sometimes trailers can seemingly vanish or entire parts of roads can randomly curve at any time, as well as patches of trees "blinking". Blizzards can cause massive glitches which affect miles of land around. If you are standing on something when it "glitches", your own body will glitch, and you will turn into an Iced Monster. There is also a small chance of you teleporting to The Void or The Blue Channel. This makes traversing the level extremely dangerous. Also, the lower class a trailer is, the higher of a chance it has to be glitched.
Entities
Dreadful Snow
Dreadful Snow looks identical to Frontrooms snow. However, Dreadful Snow is very different when ingested. You should only eat this in emergency situations. According to wanderers, when they ate this snow, it gave them "a sense of horrific dread and nausea that made you feel like you were glitched yourself". This effect can last from only a couple seconds to entire days. While experiencing these effects you can also sometimes randomly pass out, which leaves you vulnerable to glitches and Hounds.
This snow has unique properties. It cannot melt and it sticks together extremely well. When it falls, it falls in thick bands of quarter of an inch. Make sure you wear some kind of head protection when it begins to snow. Hounds have been spotted by wanderers eating the snow, which means that they are probably immune to it.
Iced Monster
Iced Monsters are entities that one wanderer described as "a slender snow golem, with icy hands and thick snowy legs". Iced Monsters are made when a human gets stuck in one of the many glitches in this level. They transform into a hostile humanoid creature. Iced Monsters kill you by simply a touch, as they are cold enough to do that at -8,093C (-14,535F). Anything they touch turns into an eternal freeze. Luckily they aren't that fast, but they never run out of stamina. If you are running from one, trailers will protect you, as they have a special property where they can't break trailers.
Colonies and Outposts
Due to the many Hounds and Iced Monsters that roam around, the dangerous resource-getting, the temperature, and the risk of glitches there are no colonies or outposts here. You may rarely stumble over a wanderer's abandoned campsite.
