Description
Level -212 is a quiet and lovely field of lavender. Adjacent to the field of lavender is a field of lilacs and sunflowers. Beyond these fields of flowers is a remote and distant city. Those who have gone towards that city go in good spirits and for a good reason. This place is beautiful… this place looks secure and serene.

Level -212 is perpetually in a state of the day as there are two suns here. In the pictures provided, one sun is rising while the other sun is setting. The temperature of this pleasant place is 76⁰F (~24.4⁰C). This place is usually fair and sunny, but there are times it does rain almond water. Explorers that traverse these fields often collect the rain that falls here.
Fun fact! The typical heart rate range for humans is between 60 – 100 bpm. If a human is experiencing a panic attack, your heart rate can exceed 110bpm. Besides an elevated heart rate, physical signs of fear are sweating, chills, trembling muscles, and shortness of breath.
Those who have gone towards that city are filled with hope. Those who have gone towards that city head off laughing and talking cheerfully. Those who have gone towards that city are relieved that for the first time in forever they found a safe place.
Can I blame you creatures for being so naïve…?
Fun fact! The volume of a normal conversation in decibels is 60. The volume of a conversation in a library in decibels is 40. The volume of whispering to someone ‘nearby’ in decibels is 30. The volume of whispering to someone five feet away in decibels is 20.

Those who come here will frolic and run their hands playfully over the lavender, lilac, and sunflowers. Those who come here will even begin to collect these flowers for teas or potpourri.
You creatures are more carefree than the environment allots.
Those who come here do not notice the blood-spattered on some of the flowers. Those who come here do not question the abandoned supplies scattered across these fields. Most do not notice how odd and distorted their own echoes sound.
Fun fact! You only need to be ~55.8ft (17 m) away from an obstruction to hear an echo.
If you hear your voice returning to you in a rapid session, that is not an echo. You are being tracked. Here in Level -212, you cannot speak louder than 20dB. Keeping your voice at a whisper will not be easy. You will experience intense primordial fear feeling that something is 'watching' you. Your heart will race, and you will turn in every direction with no hope of seeing what is coming for you. You might detect something breathing down your neck. You might feel something brush up against you. You might notice a massive depression amongst the lavender. You will either attempt to fight, take flight, or freeze upon seeing the tall lavender violently shift and displace in a path leading toward you.
Fun fact! When traversing Level -212, it is always best to stay calm and for nobody to make a sound.
Your moment of innocence is stripped away upon seeing one of your comrades getting lifted into the air and torn apart by an unseen force. This sends you all scattering in every direction like frightened mice. You all are picked off one by one.
I would say there is strength in numbers, but these foes are beyond any of you.
Hostile Entity: The Unseen
The Unseen are blind, invisible, eldritch horrors that stalk and predate explorers traversing Level -212. Level -212 is an excellent hunting ground for them as this place looks deceptively safe. They begin to follow any sounds that exceed 20dB. They will not attack immediately. They cannot see their prey no more than their prey can see them. These creatures will elicit a fear response in an attempt to gauge if they stumbled upon viable prey. They will release kairomones to induce paranoia, anxiety and elevate the heart rate. They will make physical contact, such as brushing up against or breathing on their prey. They will position themselves in an area where their presence can be detected despite not being visible. Once fear has been induced, these creatures will seek the scent of human sweat to determine if they are in the presence of their desired prey.
You can avoid predation by staying calm, not giving in to fear, not allowing your heart rate to exceed 110 bpm, and not speaking above a whisper. It also does not hurt to gather up some lavender and smell it slowly for comfort.
Helper Entity: Amygdala
Amygdala (a.k.a. Pretty Boy/Rose pâle tachée de sang) is a young Native Tracker and Mystic from Level -777. His post is technically stationed in Level -40. Why he is stationed there is classified. He will discuss Level -40 in detail to give explorers an idea of what they might experience during their free fall. He will attempt to assist explorers' free fall through Level -40 despite the risk of separation during the descent. When separation occurs, he does attempt to seek and rescue the explorer if he can.
Explorers believe he is associated with M.E.G. as he wrote the page for Level -212 and submitted it to that organization. He will periodically free fall to Level -212 to help explorers avoid entities and escape the level.
Colonies and Outposts
There are invisible and undefined eldritch horrors inhabiting Level -212. It would not be wise to establish any colonies or outposts here.
Entrances and Exits
Entrances
- Passing out in Level 977 has a 5% chance of you ending up here.
- No clipping the ground in Level 97 has a 40% chance of sending you here.
- Thinking about lavender within Level 18 will teleport you to this level.
- Touching a flower arrangement in Level 9 has a 20% chance of transporting you here.
- Free falling in Level -40 with Amygdala and managing to stay with him during your descent might transport you here. He is aware of the threat that lurks in Level -212 as he was the one who documented this level and submitted this report to M.E.G. He will stick around to protect you until you exit this level. He will not be able to exit with you. Do not worry about him...he will return to his post in Level -40.
Exits
- No-clipping the ground might transport you to Level 6.
- Crying softly into lavender might transport you to Level 10.
- Running frantically towards the distant city has a 10% chance of teleporting you to Level 11.
- Finding and picking a mysterious, single white rose amongst the lavender will transport you to Level 83.
- Collecting lilac has a 15% chance of transporting you to Level 3511.
