Level -27 is the 28th negative Level of the Backrooms.
Description
Level -27 is similar to Level -17, and some call it "the opposite" of that Level. This Level features a never-ending bridge with a river beneath it. This Level has a lot of fog, which might form puddles on the floor. These puddles were found to be of Almond Water, meaning the fog is Almond Water vapor. However, it is unknown how the body of Almond Water beneath the bridge evaporated to form the fog. This Level occasionally rains Almond Water as well, though it isn't heavy. Jumping into the body of Almond Water will take you to Level -13. If you keep walking, you'll come across bottles of opened Almond Water that you should not drink, since they are expired and will give you Acute Diarrhea if you do. According to legend, if you walk far enough, you will find a door leading to Level -28. In this Level, there are no entities. However, if you stay in this Level for too long, you will begin to lose your mind, therefore it is essential to bring almond water to this Level if you wish to explore it thoroughly.
Be cautious when exploring this Level because it has non-Euclidean features as well as railing-less and extremely damaged sections of the bridge. According to some sources, an island has been discovered near the bridge, however it is inaccessible, as it is too far away and trying to swim to it will result in being teleported to Level -13. Wanderers frequently report feelings of being watched, and some have even claimed to spot strange figures lurking around the nearby island. The L.E.G. has decided that such phenomena are either hallucinations or a combination of the two. Wanderers have also reported seeing shadows and eyes in the fog that appear to be watching them, making them afraid of being watched, there may be a whisperer sound coming from an unknown source in some areas of this Level. These are negative sound that are attempting to degrade a person's mental condition. It has been proven that they are not one's own thoughts.
This Level has an effect that causes food and water to expire fast, as well as effects similar to Level -20. However, because it is low, it is theorized that Level -20 is connected to this Level. This Level contains a variety of strange and dangerous events, including the fog and the body of Almond Water becoming a crimson color if you stay in it long enough, though it may be just another effect of insanity. Your sanity will deteriorate even more as a result of the effects. To counteract this, drink lots of Almond Water at a rapid pace. Soon after however, the Level will return to being sanity-deducing, so it is recommended that you do not stay on this Level for too long.

[4.23 p.m.] Carl and Bryan are exploring Level -17.
Carl: We're tired, so I guess we should take a short nap...
Bryan: Yeah, we haven't slept for two days now.
Carl and Bryan laid down on the bridge, letting the soothing sounds of the body of Almond Water beneath put them to sleep.
[2.49 a.m.] Carl wakes up.
Carl: Wait... where are we...?
Carl: Bro! Wake up!
Bryan wakes up.
Bryan: What...?
Carl: Bro, do you know where we are?
Bryan: Hmmm... I don't know.
Bryan looks at his digital watch.
Bryan: Holy shit, we've just slept for ten hours!
Carl: Is this a new Level? I'll report this to our database.
Bryan: I'm not sure... I think we should explore so we can get some more information.
Base: Hello, and welcome to the Liminal Explorer Group database. What can we do to assist you?
Carl: We would like to report a new Level.
Base: What does the Level look like, and how did you get there?
Carl: We ended up here after sleeping in Level -17. The Level appears to be a wooden bridge, similar to Level -17, but it's daytime and foggy.
Base: Great! Please report any additional information to our database, and best of luck!
Carl and Bryan explore this Level.
Bryan: There are bottles of opened almond water in here too.
Carl: It has a bad smell... I believe it has already passed its expiration date.
Bryan: Wait! Did you see that?
Carl: What?
Bryan: It's an island! Should we go there?
Carl: How? It's too far away from us.
Bryan: Why don't you just jump in the water and swim to it?
Carl: Bro, that's too dangerous, and we have no idea what's in the water.
Bryan: Wait... I see someone in the island!
Carl: What? I don't see anyone.
Bryan: You see them, don't you? It's a shadowy figure, and it seems like it's keeping and eye on us...
Carl: Are you serious? I don't see a shadow figure. I think you're having hallucinations, drink some almond water.
Bryan: Yeah, you're probably right.
Bryan drinks his almond water and him and Carl continue to explore.
Bryan: Hey, I think I see something again.
Carl: What is it this time?
Bryan: I see eyes in the fog...
Carl: I think I see them too... what the hell? Why there are so many eyes in there?
Carl: Oh my god, they're looking at me! I think we should go!
Carl and Bryan start running the other way. Bryan looks over his shoulder.
Bryan: Oh no, they're following us!
Carl: What the fuck is that?!
Bryan: Wait, it's gone now.
They stop running.
Carl: This place is creepy as hell... I want to leave this fucking Level now.
Bryan and Carl try to find an exit.
Carl: Hey, do you have any almond water left?
Bryan: Yeah, but wait... why does my almond water smell so bad? It just seemed fresh a few minutes ago... did it expire just now?
Carl: Are you joking? How does it just expire all of a sudden?
Bryan: I don't know...
The fog and the river turn crimson all of a sudden.
Carl: What the hell is going on? Why is everything red?!
Bryan: I feel kind of bad...
Carl: I think I'm having hallucinations... oh fuck! We don't have any almond water.
Bryan: We should jump into the river. This is our only hope to escape.
Carl: Okay...
Bryan and Carl jump into the river and end up in Level -13.
