Level -4000 is a negative level in the backrooms, primarily found when having intense desire to enter The Frontrooms.

Description
At first, level -4000 looks exactly like The Frontrooms. Everything appears exactly the same as it was when you first entered the backrooms, and most wanderers assume they have successfully escaped.
However, all humans inside level -4000 are really an undocumented entity. While currently not much is known about them, they are dangerous in that that can appear to be anyone they want and have every thought about that person, and can even manipulate the world around them. They will find the best way to kill you without you noticing. Because of this, if you find yourself in what appears to be the frontrooms, attempt any of these methods:
Checking if it is truly the frontrooms
Currently, as there is little known about level -4000, there are not many known ways to tell. However there are still some methods.
- Check if any of your friends seem "off". While they could just be having a bad day, any other method should be used immediately just in case.
- Try to read on this wiki. Although your internet mostly works fine and you can still read here, you will mostly find yourself searching it down every time. This is one of the best and most reliable ways as you do not need to put in much effort, and nobody would notice you do it so you can leave safely.
- Remember how you got here. The entrance to level -4000 and the frontrooms are somewhat different. If you remember both the way to get to the frontrooms and the entrance to level -4000, it should be easy to tell this isnt the world it seems.
- Ask anyone who was your friend in the backrooms what it was like. The entities here only know this about how the frontrooms work and will usually not know how to respond.
Colonies and Outposts
As no two humans can be here at the same time, and the world is reset when someone enters to match what their experience in the frontrooms was like, no colonies or outposts have been made here.
Entrances and Exits
Entrances
- If you desperately want nothing more than to exit the backrooms and enter the frontrooms, you may teleport here.
- If you truly want it, you can purposefully teleport here. The entities will not know that you went here on purpose.
- Entering a wooden door labeled "Employees Only" on Level 3999 will bring you here.
- Noclipping on Level 0 has a small chance to bring you here.
Exits
- Noclipping will bring you to Level 0.
- It is said that "befriending" the entities somehow will let you go anywhere in the backrooms you wish. However, only one person has successfully done this and as such the results may vary.
