Exploratory Log: Outside of Schrödinger's Closet

M.E.G. Level Assessor and Appraiser George R. Brown: "You guys know each other?"
Dr. Astrid F. Nightingale: "We met briefly... we rode together in Level -92." Pauses with empathy, "I am sorry about..."
M.E.G. Military Operative, Private, Bernadette T. Talyor: "You do not have to apologize for that." Changes the subject, "Did you make this too?
Dr. Astrid F. Nightingale: "No... a Malveillant made this..." Presses hand against the door, "I suspect it was Javaraya, but I cannot be sure. Kritanta can make pocket dimensions as well, but he is not as skilled.
M.E.G. Military Operative, Private, Bernadette T. Talyor: "Is this a remnant?"
Dr. Astrid F. Nightingale: "No... it is an iteration of the 'Empty Closet' from Level -369. Javaraya also made that 'spatial' anomaly, so I am confident he made this too."
M.E.G. Military Operative, Private, Bernadette T. Talyor: "Why?"
Dr. Astrid F. Nightingale smirks: "He is a short-tempered, perfectionist."
M.E.G. Level Assessor and Appraiser George R. Brown checks out Astrid: "You are direct, observant and analytical... how the h*ll are you Kim's brother again?"
Dr. Astrid F. Nightingale chuckles: "I wonder that too sometimes, but we are related by blood."

Level -439 starts outside an intimidating wooden closet illuminated by an unknown light source. The temperature outside this closet is ambient. There is nothing else here besides the silent darkness around you and this closet. You cannot illuminate the darkness. You will have the sensation that the darkness is staring back at you. Whispering threats even. Some explorers have reported seeing smilers in the darkness behind them, but it is also possible they were hallucinating.

It is not recommended to go inside this closet. It is not too late to turn back. Those who dare enter this closet will be greeted by the sound of a hallow and deep death rattle followed by a gust of icy wind. It will feel like Death is kissing you... goodbye. You will retch bile or dry heave due to the stink of moth balls, the reek of mold, and the pungent odor of decay.
Inside this ominous closet is an undetermined stretch of shelves, drawers, and cabinets. There is nothing on the shelves or in the drawers and cabinets. The temperature inside of this closet is ~75.2°F – 78.8°F (24°C – 26°C). The environment is dimly lit. The only entities here are phantom male and female Death moths. This variant of Death moth cannot interact with you. They will pass through your body like a ghost. The females might investigate you. You will be ignored, for the most part.
What is the threat though? Let me explain the thought experiment, Schrödinger's cat, first.
Schrödinger's cat

There is a box and inside this box is a sealed harmful substance. You place the cat in the box and close it. The harmful substance is released. The cat is exposed to the substance. You do not know if the cat is alive or dead until you open the box and check on the cat. Until you open the box, the cat is simultaneously both alive and dead because the animal's fate is being determined by an event that may or not occur. The cat might be immune to whatever 'deadly' and noxious substance you placed in the box with it. The cat might be vulnerable to whatever 'deadly' and noxious substance you placed in the box with it. Until you open the box, you cannot be sure. Upon opening this box, the cat is either alive or dead.
Function: Schrödinger's Closet
Schrödinger's Closet follows the same principle as Schrödinger's cat to some degree. However, this place was not designed with cats in mind. My advice to you, Gary, is to not enter this closet, especially if you are alone. The door to this closet will slam and seal itself shut. You can break down the door, but it will reassemble itself, and the damage is already done. If you come with a partner, you will fare no better. The only reason why I would recommend that you explore Level -439 with a partner is so someone can return and report the other as deceased. I would not recommend trying to hold the door open. This closet will generate a vacuum to pull you inside of it or a 'force' to push you away. If you wait 5 minutes, the door will reopen itself, and you will be able to go back outside this closet. DO NOT go back in there... you will never be seen or heard from again! With that said, you are simultaneously alive and dead as long as you stay inside Level -439. What is causing this? I cannot say. I did warn you to not go inside, so you would not have a reason to worry... Upon exiting this level, you either arrive in another level dead or alive. Your chances of exiting this level alive or dead are 50:50.

Entrances and Exits
Entrances
- Exiting out the Fire Exit door, in Level Dark, at the end of the hallway might take you to Level -439.
- Getting lost in Level 6 might result in you finding yourself here.
- Entering a closet in Level 9 has a 50% chance of placing you outside the closet in Level -439.
- Touching the closet door in Level -182 has a 5% chance of you no-clipping that door and finding yourself outside the closet in Level -439.
- If you reach 'The Behavioral Suite' in Level -369, Javaraya will snap his fingers and potentially send you here. I just want you to test this out for me...
- Getting lost in the Voidic Woods of Level -777 before you are rescused by a Native or find your way to the Ethereal Grounds might result in you ending up in Level -439.
Exits
- Going back into the darkness of Level -439 without entering the closet has a 25% chance of you getting lost and never being heard from again.
- Going back into the darkness of Level -439 without entering the closet has a 75% chance of you ending up back in the level you came from.
- Going back into the darkness of Level -439 after entering the closet has a 100% chance you will end up in a level with a survival class of 2 or lower. There is a 50% you will arrive at your new location dead.
