Level -61: "Between Time, Horology & Space"
Level -61 is the -62nd level of The Backrooms.
Description ---
Level -61 is what appears to be a seemingly long but never seem to be a infinite level, obnoxious, perplexed level, it also appears that it have many clocks. The level's temperature stand around 24–26 °C (75–79 °F) which is comfortably cool. This level has many or not different properties and different effects in any each clock. The levels appearance seems to be a concrete wall full of wall clocks such as Pendulum Clock, and Digital Clock, either antiquated or modernized. The constellation Horologium can be seen in naked eye which is quite and seemingly enough a cool detail view for a constellation to be seen in a naked eye! This level seems to have it's own laws, like just any other levels from The Backrooms what's point of adding this??!!! The level does have a day/night cycle similar from Earth's day/night cycle. The Frontrooms normalize using it. The level does have a durable WiFi and fair/average WiFi connection/data. The level does disobey the laws of reality, I think it's self-explanatory, Backrooms disobeys everything. Backrooms has it's own universe with different law anyways.
At this level, it has many different types of clock either lying on the ground, on table, or wall clock. But seemingly enough, this clocks are either antiquated or modernized. The clocks usually has different effect for the particular individual/wanderer or even a group. Seemingly enough, this level also have different location/or section to be exact, with different design, well-self-explanatory much. There aren't any supplies that can be found from this level, in an exception for Almond Water, since there is a Almond Water river forest that can be seen when you go outside consider touching grass . All of the clocks that can be seen from this level are very valuable and most of them as I mentioned are antiquated, the modernized clocks are usually the ones that can be rarely seen from the level itself, since the level itself is very old or to be specific it's very prehistoric and had been existing since the 17th century. The level seems to be retouched/revamped by a unknown colonial group from the Backrooms of course, this colonial group must have been well retouched the level (not the whole level but the room itself) even if the clocks does give them a effect. As I mentioned, there is a lot or not seem to be a lot of different clocks that can be seen from this level, they're either seen rarely or commonly. The level is pretty silent, there aren't any "animals" that can be heard from this level, especially birds, so it basically has no any life of animal that can be seen from this level. This level sometimes rarely or commonly experiences any particular events from The Frontrooms, reality or not such as raining, thunderstorms, fogging basically mimicking the The Frontrooms, reality events. While in other hand there is some events that are not/cannot be seen from the The Frontrooms, reality it's basically breaking the laws of "reality" some events like, where the sky basically went black out, this event can be rarely seen not commonly see, the gravitation changing from it's own whatever it wants, it can go to zero gravitation and many more event. Here are the list of clocks and it's effect, and also the events that can be seen commonly or rarely seen from the level itself, considering the sections as mentioned before. But we mention the sections first! Hmm...maybe I lied, in fact there is some supplies here, I lied.
List of sections.
Section 1: The Almond Water River ---
Section 1: The Almond Water river, or we commonly call The Almond Water river, is a river that is located outside of the room, typically the main lobby of the level.
The Almond Water, to be goofy, the color does not look like a Almond Water.
Peaceful isn't it?
The Almond Water River is usually contains some anomalous properties, in the forest. Most of wanderers have been reported missing from the forest after they traversed for a long time there, but it's clear it's a exit to the level.
Space event/property ---
Constellation Horologium ---
You find yourself in a very vast of liminality of nowhere to touch of reality, outcoming perplex trauma once everyday. Have you get over it? Admire this beautiful constellation, as it esteem your whole body.
To be wise enough, the constellation "Horologium" is bordered with Eridanus; Hydrus; Reticulum; Dorado; Caelum, presumably, we're studying about the bordered constellation, after all we can see them in the unaided eye. (Real life information's are mentioned, supposedly to educate the reader)
Constellation Horologium in night time
A "diagram" not actually a diagram but a simple depiction of the constellation Horologium
It's unknown how this constellation got into this level, it became it's "own property" specifically since you cannot see this constellation from any other level. But there are some missions of mapping the bodies of these star celestial bodies. As we all know, GLISE 1061, a celestial star body that belonged to the constellation Horologium, has already been planned mapping. Since there is also a "planet" located in this star, oh a planet in a level? Wasn't that something a bit off and weird? Well..ok then. But to be specific, the bordered constellations bordering the constellation Horologium can also be seen in unaided eye or in a simple telescope used for observing.
A list of stars from the constellation Horologium
Diagram of the constellation, with Eridanus, Hydrus, Reticulum, and Dorado.
Alpha Horologii is a solitary orange-hued giant star in the constellation Horologium. It is visible to the naked eye with an apparent visual magnitude of +3.85. It is located 115.0±0.5 light-years from the Sun.
Iota Horologii
Iota Horologii, Latinized from ι Horologii, is a yellow-hued star approximately 56.5 light-years away in the Horologium constellation. The star is classified as a G0Vp yellow dwarf. It has a mass and radius larger than the Sun, and is about 50% more luminous.
Gliese 1061
Gliese 1061 is a red dwarf star located approximately 12 light-years from Earth in the southern constellation of Horologium. Even though it is a relatively nearby star, it has an apparent visual magnitude of about 13, so it can only be seen with at least a moderately-sized telescope.A planetary system lies among this star, and I'm waiting for you, Gary to be there.
Beta Horologii
Beta Horologii, Latinized from β Horologii, is the third-brightest star in the southern constellation of Horologium. It is faintly visible to the naked eye with an apparent visual magnitude of 4.98.
R Horologii
R Horologii is a red giant star approximately 1,000 light-years away in the southern constellation of Horologium. It is a Mira variable with a period of 404.83 days, ranging from apparent magnitude 4.7 to 14.3—one of the largest ranges in brightness known of stars in the night sky visible to the unaided eye.
Mu Horologii
Mu Horologii is a solitary, yellow-white hued star in the southern constellation of Horologium. It is faintly visible to the naked eye with an apparent visual magnitude of 5.11.
Join us
Something that has been questioning beyond their minds, must have been so craving for them. Come and follow us. While staring at this esteeming constellation to the night sky of the level. Look wisely as you esteem this constellation. Something that looks innocent right? Well for now, a secret lies among the constellation, I'm waiting for you to be there and meet us.
We've been waiting for eternity, to outcome. I'm hoping you're designated to it, I'm waiting for you to be here Gary.
Dein's Tavern/Restaurant (Notably part of the section river) ---
Dein's Restaurant Tavern, is a restaurant and tavern located from the Almond Water river. This tavern is a place where people usually gather to relax, and especially clocks are mainly seen here, such as Grandfather Clock, Cuckoo Clock and any other wall clocks. Dein's Tavern was a prehistoric (not quite prehistoric, but has been existing since 20th centur) tavern made by a unknown colonials that has been existing since the 1950's.
Dein's Tavern/Restaurant
Specified wine's from the tavern. ---
Sparkling Wines
Sparkling wines are carbonated wines, hence the nickname “bubbly.” Sparkling wines are made from black and white grapes, and carbon dioxide is a naturally occurring byproduct of fermentation. The most well-known sparkling wine is champagne, which is often used in celebrations like New Year’s and weddings. Sparkling Wine's are the best beverage's here.
Fortified Wines
Fortified wines are wines with spirits like brandy added in during the fermentation process. Because these wines are sweetened by the alcohol, the ones with lower alcohol content are considered dessert wines and are also paired with desserts. Fortified Wine's are quite not known here, in fact they seem to taste good.
Rosé Wines
Rosé is a wine known by its blush or pink colour. This pretty colour is created when the juice of black grapes is fermented with the skins for a very short period of time, from a few hours to a few days until the juice turns colour. Like white wine, it is also low in tannins, though some rosés are dry. Rosé is a popular crowd-pleaser, especially for summertime parties, and a great choice as a starter wine because of its light, sweet flavour.
Almond water...or we call Almond Wine!
Well, as I mentioned, it's located to the Almond Water river forest...so why not mention Almond water?...Almond wine?? Maybe a cool looking one, Almond Wine's are typically good. One of our biggest delicacy of beverage here is our Almond Wine!....well it does explode just a little in your mouth/taste bud! Hehe.
Here are the types of beers.
Specified Beers from the tavern. ---
Ale Beer
This is the oldest style of beer, which dates back to antiquity. What distinguishes an ale - and also makes this category of beer accessible for home brewers - is a warm-temperature fermentation for a relatively short period of time. In the brewing process, brewers introduce top-fermenting yeasts which, as the name suggests, ferment on the top of the brew. The fermentation process turns what would otherwise be a barley and malt tea into a boozy beverage.
Lager Beer
Lagers are a newer style of beer with two key differences from ales. Lagers ferment for a long time at a low temperature, and they rely on bottom-fermenting yeasts, which sink to the bottom of the fermenting tank to do their magic.
Porter Beer
A type of ale, porter beers are known for their dark black color and roasted malt aroma and notes. Porters may be fruity or dry in flavor, which is determined by the variety of roasted malt used in the brewing process.
Clocks of the level. Specified (Under construction/WIP)
Pendulum Clock
Pendulum Clock is a type of clock that you can commonly see from this level itself. Pendulum Clocks are basically the oldest clock of type that has been originating since the creation of the level itself, to be specific, it has been following the origination of the level itself we call Level -61. We do not know so.
Former origination of the Pendulum Clock (Specified, reality information)
A Pendulum clock is a clock that uses a pendulum, a swinging weight, as its timekeeping element. The advantage of a pendulum for timekeeping is that it is a harmonic oscillator: It swings back and forth in a precise time interval dependent on its length, and resists swinging at other rates. It was inspired by the investigation of Pendulum's by Galileo Galilei. It was built by Salomon Coster, and originally invented/a idea by Christiaan Huygens,
Pendulum Clock depiction.
Omg it's the sketch looking thing made by Christiaan Huygens
Significant effect of the Pendulum Clock.
Pendulums do gives effects for the particular individual whoever stumbled across touching it, the effect seems to not have any negativity effect.
The effect basically gives the wanderer a nostalgic feeling around their perspective, and a feeling of where they have seen this clock before or after they have been in the Backrooms (unless the individual/wanderer already knows the clock itself), and another one where the wanderer feels a pensive sadness of feeling whenever they see the Pendulums swing, this pensive sadness does not last long, in an exception if the wanderer have been staring at the Pendulum for a long time, it can cause mental damage and severe headache if do so, this is a negative side of the effect (yes I lied), severe headache can lead to drowsiness and vomiting so it's not advice to look at the Pendulum swinging further more. But Pendulum Clocks are actually very pretty! These effects does not last permanently/forever eternity, it can only last temporary, but it is exception if the wanderer stared at it for a long time, it can stay permanently if the wanderer did look at it for a long time. But there are safety precautions that are listed in the level.
A specified book about the Pendulum Clock. ---
A book that is basically about the Pendulum Clock and it's placed next to each other, it's basically a book about the mechanism of the Pendulum Clock. Nothing seem to be special, but the background of the book.
The use of pendulums to keep time was not new but had already been proposed by people engaged in astronomical observations such as Galileo.
The book is divided into five interconnected parts. The first and last parts of the book contain descriptions of clock designs. The rest of the book is devoted to the analysis of pendulum motion and a theory of curves. Except for part IV, written in 1664, the entirety of the book was composed in a three-month period starting in October 1659.
Cuckoo Clock. ---
Cuckoo clock is typically a another style of Pendulum Clock...but better, Cuckoo clocks strikes a hour and with a sound of common Cuckoo's, basically mimicking the sound of the common Cuckoo's but there was
The depiction of the Cuckoo clock, but it seems much better than the Pendulum Clock, and more functional.
Origination of Cuckoo Clock (Reality information) ---
It is unknown who invented the Cuckoo Clock and where the first one was made. It is thought that much of its development and evolution was made in the Black Forest area in southwestern Germany (in the modern state of Baden-Württemberg)
Significant effect of Cuckoo Clock. ---
Cuckoo clock's sounds gives you a sense of relaxation and positivity depending on the sound of the Cuckoo clock is making, common Cuckoo gives you a relaxation of sound and it can give you the positivity, common Cuckoo is just basically another positive type of clock effect. It does not harm anything from you whatsoever, and I lied, common Cuckoo's are the only sound that these Cuckoo Clock's make.
Musical Clock. --- ---
A musical clock is a clock that marks the hours of the day with a musical tune. They can be considered elaborate versions of striking or chiming clocks. The music on mechanical clocks is typically played from a spiked cylinder on bells, organ pipes, or bellows.
Origination of Musical Clock (Specified, reality information) --- ---
One of the earliest known domestic Musical Clocks was constructed by Nicholas Vallin in 1598,
Musical Clock depiction.
Significant effect of Musical Clock. --- ---
While listening to the Musical Clocks sound, it gives you a feeling of nostalgic-ness and it gives you a feeling of where you remember the past things you have done before you came to the Backrooms, to be specific that this clock is basically a thin ice of a effect for a particular individual, since Musical Clock can also emit your trauma before, or any another trauma to you. There are some type of trauma that a Musical Clock can emit
Traumatic Grief --- ---
A individual/wanderer/colony may have a traumatic reaction after a death that was sudden and unexpected (e.g., through violence or an accident) or a death that was anticipated (e.g., due to illness). If the individual/wanderer/colony responses are severe or prolonged and interfere with functioning, the individual/wanderer/colony maybe experiencing Childhood Traumatic Grief. A type of trauma that a Musical Clock can emit.
Community Grief --- ---
Community violence is exposure to intentional acts of interpersonal violence committed in public areas by individuals who are not intimately related to the victim. Common types of community violence that affect youth include individual and group conflicts (e.g., bullying, fights among gangs and other groups, shootings in public areas such as schools and communities, civil wars in foreign countries or “war-like” conditions in US cities, spontaneous or terrorist attacks).
This is the only type of trauma that can a Musical Clock can emit to you, but I am indeed aware of my doings. If you have come from a trauma, please consult to a person you may have trusted, but people these days are not so trustable, if you may have come to a specific person you very trust with without any suspicious act, you can consult to them.
Entities ---
There aren't any entities from this level itself.
