Description
Apart from very rare instances, most rooms contain nothing but the stink of old stained carpet, the madness of mono-yellow and the endless background noise of fluorescent lights at maximum hum-buzz. Level 0 is estimated to be 1 million square miles large.
Although level 0 is mostly made up of randomly segmented rooms, hallways; flights of stairs; and wide, open areas can be found occasionally. It is by far the safest level. Beings can be found lurking around here, albeit rarely, usually lured out by hermits on the edge of level 0 or groups of people. It is extremely rare to see anything other than a hound or duller.
Colonies and Outposts
There are currently 4 known colonies and outposts on level 0 of the backrooms.
Fort Blake
- Used to be a major base of operations for the Insurgency, but was destroyed after a battle with Camp Asstdoor.
- What's left of it is controlled by a looter group known as the homosexuals and transgenders.
Steve-Town
- Only 12 or so citizens
- Led by a man named Steve, who acts as the colony's sheriff and mayor
- Mostly friendly

Camp Blastdoor
- 50 citizens
- Close to the Hub
- Has a small defense force
- Friendly and open to trade and new citizens
Backroom Explorers
- Consists of 178 lost people
- Non-hostile and friendly
- Has safety protocol when an entity is near

Leaving Level 0
Most people state that level 1 will come to you at least 4 days into wandering or you just find a entrance by chance,
One of the ways to tell when you are in a transition of level 0 to 1 is the lights will go out for a few seconds to minutes and maybe even days until they just go out completely
