Level 0 L is the 1st level of The Leftrooms.

Description

Level 0 L is typically the first level one may encounter when they enter The Leftrooms. Usually, one may not immediately notice the fact that they have already entered Level 0 L, as it looks almost identical to Level 0. Although, there are "Strings" that are difficult to see with the naked eye, mainly around corners and sometimes appears directly in front of you. Once one interacts with the "Strings" in Level 0 L, they will make a harp-like sound before the level begins morphing into its real form; while the ceiling and walls will still look the same as Level 0, the soggy carpet floor will be replaced with tiles marked with the numbers 0-8.

In addition, the tiles all over the floor of Level 0 L, also known as 'piano bricks', are another major component of Level 0 L. The tiles are colored white with a size of 25cm x 25cm with numbers marked on them with a grease pen. When you step on them, they make a piano-like sound depending on how you step on them and the numbers marked on them: 0 is unvoiced, 1-8 are (alto) do, re, mi, fa, so, la, ti, (soprano) do and when you step on a tile at the same time, it will sound a semitone lower. Usually, all the numbers are randomly distributed, but the "0" piano tile appears significantly less often than the other tiles. If you have placed something on a tile, it is best to pick it up quickly, otherwise in a minute that tile (or tiles) will drop and a new one will appear to replenish it, and you will never get your stuff back. There is a theory that the numbers on the piano bricks in Level 0 L correspond in some subtle way to the number of music boxes played in Musical Void, but this is not very plausible, as the numbers on the piano tiles never change while they are in your eyesight.

When you're not playing a song, if you step out of tune with too many dissonant chords, or being surrounded by angry strings, the "invisible audio" will appear. As its name implies, you can only hear its foot (if it has one) on the piano tiles, but you can't observe it no matter what device you use. The “invisible audio " is usually hostile to you, and when caught by him you are said to be transformed into another invisible audio, however we don't have any information on the victim, so this is not confirmed. There are two things you can do in this situation:

  1. It steps on each piano brick at 3 second intervals and before he gets too close to you step on a note that forms a harmonious chord with the note he is stepping on (e.g. a major third or in line with him (a major degree)) and keep doing this until you can hear no other piano voice but yours.
  2. If you are surrounded by angry strings at this point, try to soothe the strings around you. Even though you are surrounded by them, remember that your fingers will not be hurt no matter how you play them. Find the seventh chord hidden in these strings and play it so that they will disperse and the invisible audio will leave.

This level has similarities to Level 0 (Even though this level doesn't have the property to prevent you from meeting other wanderers, and you won't be bothered by the strange voice in Level 0), like you can find a place like the Manila Room in it, which was named Piarp Place, you have higher chances to encounter other wanderers right there (However, this is still rare occurrence).

Any attempt to noclip out of this level will trap you completely in strings and immobilize you.

Resources

Unlike Level 0, the ceiling and walls here are very dry, so it is impossible to gather anything from them. There are times when the tiles marked with a "0" have a small bottle of almond water and a power bar on them, and there is a very small chance that royal rations will appear on the "0" tiles after you have managed to appease the strings or the invisible audio.

Colonies And Outposts

Due to the special nature of this floor (things cannot be left down for long), it is difficult to set up a colony or outpost here.

Entities

In this level, only strings and invisible audio exist.

Piarp Place

The picture of the Piarp Place in this level. It was the first picture in this level and was shot by an M.E.G. guard. The guard status is unknown.

Piarp Place is a special area in Level 0 L that doesn’t has the similar appearance with other parts in Level 0 L, so it was record by some anonymous wanderers.

Description

Piarp Place has an welly-protected piano or a brand new harps with a sheet music stand, a piano stool, gray floor, and some decorations on the wall in it. It seems that whether the piano or the harp appears depends on which instruments can the wanderer play, only when the wanderer knows how to play the harp or both the harp and the piano, the harp appears; while in other situations, the piano appears.

While the piano is appearing, a score will always appears on the piano, which record the last music you have ever listened before you enter Level 0 L. Sometimes it is impossible to be played due to the high bpm or mass of notes. When this happening, if you are playing only some parts of the score(for example, only soprano section), a harp-like voice will help you to play the rest of them(the rest part of soprano section like bass section, even though sometimes it could make the whole song a disaster).

When the harp is appearing, everything is the same with above, except the score will appears on the sheet music stand, and the voice will be change into piano-liked one.

No matter what instruments appear, it will always contains a piano stool aside the instrument. There are some scores of a random song inside the stool, after pick them up and put them back, they will change into another random one.

If you finished playing a score no matter what or where in this room, you will feel much better after doing this. In fact, your anxiety level will decrease sharply, and you will feel energetic for a while. It is highly advised due to the trauma that the backrooms(or the leftrooms)brings to you. However, after doing this, the Piarp Place will disappear and all your stuff that putted in this room will be left on the ground. Don’t forget to pick them up quickly due to the special property in Level 0 L.

Colonies And Outposts

There are no known colonies or outposts due to the small size (it's a dead end and the free move space of this place is only about 2 square meters) of this area.

Entities

There are no entities in this area.
