Description

Level ½ is a dark and isolated space of seemingly no end, and it appears to be part of Level 1 and Level 2. The reflective floor tiling of this area is made from onyx which can be scrapped from the floor in order to use somehow. The purpose of the ‘gas tanks’ is unknown, however if one wishes to take them, it might be useful. The level is very crowded and it seemingly goes on forever in a single direction, making it difficult to escape from entities.

When entering the level, you find yourself with a dead end, the wall shown in the image above. You have to walk the seemingly endless path of the thin white-walled room with marble-like onyx in order to move past this level. In the way, there might be some supplies available, although there is no guarantees, as it is inconsistent. The fluorescent lights found throughout the level are all dim, and there are no other light sources. There also seems to be some kind of fire detector, and it is not advised to use any kind of flammable materials while in this level. Level ½ is very difficult to get to; there is a likely theory that this level is a fragment of Level 2, meaning it has no proper start or end. This room is also inconsistently lit, which makes it so that the gas tanks are more likely to spawn in the darker areas.

Entities

Entities are a rare occurrence, and unlike Level 1, may or may not lurk when the lights are off. As of now, there is not much info on the entities. Note: It is yet to be confirmed, but the ‘Gas Tanks’ might be of sentience, as there are reports that it ‘glitches’ or at least seemingly, when viewed from a distance. There is also rumored to be a cat that travels this level frequently, and is unknown if it is hostile or not. When coming across this cat, reports say that it can speak English, and are fluent in the French language. The cat does not like any unruly guests upon the level, and is sometimes seen carrying a tape of unknown content, with a scotch tape with someone’s name on it. In rare cases, the tape would accidentally play a recording, and a few words can be made out from it, a message regarding an unknown’s life before getting into the Backrooms.

Colonies and Outposts

There are very few known colonies in Level ½. Those are limited to a few expeditions that camped out during the night they were in the thin hallways. Due to the Level’s nature, the colonies are forced to see eye to eye, as having any dispute is not advised, especially when their bases are located in a straight path that which the level is.

Entrances and Exits

Entrances

An entrance has been found, although it is very difficult. In level 1, you must attempt to noclip to the other side of the walls, without falling through the void. This must be done in an area where you are certain that the other side has an extra space where you can walk around a least 1-2 meters without falling into the void, as simply getting caught in it will prevent this glitch from working. Then, after you have walked the distance, it will instantly teleport you to Level ½ for an unknown reason

Exits

It is rumored that the dead-end is one of the exists, when attempting to destroy, or hole it, but this is not advised, as it may trigger any entities nearby, and is not proven. The wall is also self-repairing, as when a couple of guests attempted to wrench it, the wall fixed itself. The only other way is to keep going straight ahead the seemingly endless path that the hallway extends to, and search for two hemispherical symbols in a wall opposite to each other, and you have to arrange them by some means in order to form a circular shape with a visible circumference. Then you must tap on it to get teleported to Level 2. Only a very few know of this method.
