Level 1.85 is the 1.85th Level of The Backrooms. It is a sub-level between Level 1.8 - Level 1.9.

Description

Level 1.85 looks to be a substantial room interminable in both vertical and horizontal proportions. The floor is constructed from the same material in Level 1.8 - natural oak wooden flooring. The floor is also abnormally wet - with there being a much larger quantity of liquid. This liquid behaves the same way in Level 1.8, that it does not undergo any state change (eg. evaporation). This sub-level is also entirely devoid of the white-coloured concrete walls found in Level 1.8.

The purple-lilac light are identical to the ones in Level 1.8, the only difference is how they are interspersed. Unlike Level 1.8 with its evenly aligned placements, the lights in Level 1.85 are distributed almost haphazardly, usually in groups of 3-5 per placement.

Entities

Entities in Level 1.85, due to this sub-level being more open and travelling no longer limited to two directions, have a higher chance to be found in Level 1.85. It is also theorised entities travel to Level 1.85 for the easy access of the high quantity of liquid (traced back to Almond Water) found in the oak wooden floors.

Level 1.85 entities can range from Death Moths to even Skin-Stealers.

Level-Exclusive Entities

These are levels exclusive only to the sub-level Level 1.85.

Mirrors

The mirrors in Level 1.85 behave in the exact same way as Level 1.8 with its sanity-increasing effects. The only notable characteristic that has changed is the consistency one will come across these mirrors - they are a lot more common.

Another notable characteristic is that the metal that the mirror is coated in seems to not undergo any chemical reaction. It is unknown why some matter in Level 1.8 and Level 1.85 do not undergo certain things. They are still entirely noclippable.

Alternative Mirrors

Alternative mirrors are mirrors that appear to only be situated in Level 1.85. The only main primary characteristic that differentiates the normal mirrors to the alternative mirrors, that being that the sanity-increasing effects are reversed - they decrease your sanity.

There are no reports of successful noclipping attempts.

Colonies And Outposts

There have been an outpost situated in Level 1.85.

Outpost: Lilac

Outpost Lilac, situated at a transition point from Level 0 to Level 1.85, is owned and created by the M.E.G. Unfortunately they aren't open for wonderers and aren't open to trading. It is merely a research outpost for both Level 1.8 and Level 1.85.

Talk about potential situation of an outpost in Level 1.85 public for wonderers is being done.

Entrances and Exits

Like Level 1.8, there isn't many reliable methods that bring you to Level 1.85 from Levels outside Level 1.8 - It is all up to chance.

Entrances

  • Noclipping through a Mirror in Level 1.8 could potentially bring you to Level 1.85 as they could translocate you to Levels 1.5-1.9 - 3% chance of Level 1.85 translocation.
  • Travel through a transition point from Level 0 - 1.85. You can distinguish a transition point by an askew wall placement.

Exits

  • A section of oak-wood flooring could potentially become noclipped and could translocate you to another level/sub-level 1 - 1.9.
  • Noclipping through a mirror could translocate you to another level/sub-level.

ADMIN NOTE - thats just disrespectful bro.

[M.E.G] First confirmed case of a person dying of Level 1.85.

We are unsure of their name or age or any other characteristics. There was no clues on the cause of death. The only theory is they potentially slipped on the wet floor?
