Level 1089 is the 1090th level of the backrooms.
Description
Level 1089 manifests itself as a infinite, empty school building. This building will always appear to be on fire, but these flames are not warm, and touching the flames will not harm you. Being in this level will make you feel burnt out and overworked. This trait was shared with Level 319 before that level was invaded by Partygoers. This level also shares the trait from that level in that you cannot sleep. This level is harder to survive in, however, due to the lack of easily accessed coffee machines. The school building has windows, which show glimpses of other levels. You should not interact with any window. It will almost certainly lead you to a high class level instead of the level it shows. The stairwells of the level tend to be covered in vines and spider webs. The normal exit doors are blocked off from the outside. No entities manifest in this level, but this still does not make the level safe.
Do's
- If you find any school work, fill it out. Failure to do so will usually kill you. It also has a very high chance to send you to Level !.
- Avoid most classrooms. This is where the most paperwork is, and if you never see the paperwork in this level, you will not be forced to fill it out.
- Enter classrooms that are lit up. These are one of the only areas you can find Coffee and almond water.
- Conserve your energy if you plan to go here, as finding lit up classrooms is very rare.
- Climb vines you find in stairwells. They all are guaranteed to lead to a small area stocked with a few bottles of almond water and cups of coffee.
- Pick up rulers and meter sticks you find. These are actually useful weapons since they are unbreakable. They are also good to reach higher places.
- Noclip through blocked off doors. Most exit doors are located at the ends of hallways.
Don't's
- Ignore paperwork.
- Go into all the classrooms.
- Exert your energy.
- Wander for too long. If you stay in this room for too long, your burnout will last for much longer after getting out.
- Drink all your coffee at once.
- Enter windows.

Exits
- Don't fill out the paperwork before leaving a room to be sent to Level ! with a 25% chance to be sent to the infested version of Level 319
- In each classroom within a few rooms radius from a lit room will have a vase with a flower in it. Collecting at least 8 flowers and putting them into the vase in the lit room sends you to Level 150.
- Erasing a picture of a plane in any classroom (assuming it naturally spawned) sends you to Level ∞
- Level 222 Will broadcast music in the halls. Listening to it for a hour sends you to Level 222
