Description
Level 11.5 is similar to Level 11, however, it resembles a non-euclidean infinite rural town located next to farm lands. Throughout the level, you will find small houses, businesses such as coffee shops, retail stores, and small office buildings. All buildings in this level are less than 5 stories high, giving it the feeling of a small town. Inside the businesses you will find about half are stocked with supplies you would find in the store. The other half are empty, with no items inside. Electricity runs throughout the level. Some areas of Level 11.5, although weak, actually have Wi-Fi signal. In homes, you will find furniture, kitchen appliances, heaters, and basic household items. A weird property of this level is that not a single home has a bathroom.
The time of day is always around 10 in the morning, with temperatures measuring at a steady 64.7 °F. In Level 11.5, you will find water towers and grain silos every few miles, and occasional storage buildings, all which are empty. There are several creeks which you can drink from after boiling the water, but all buildings have water running in them. If you lived in a small town in Midwest USA before finding yourself in the backrooms, this level may feel like home a little. There is an area in 11.5 called the "central area." The central area is where 2 creeks meet up, and the tallest buildings of the level are present. It is also home to a community called Sunnyville. Due to the peacefulness and safety in Level 11.5, many wanderers have decided to stay here. An estimate of 13,000 wanderers call Level 11.5 home.
In Level 11.5, there is usually 1-5 miles of houses, businesses, and other buildings. Right next to these clusters of buildings, there are farmland growing wheat, barley, rice, and a purple plant looking like hay that is said to taste like apples. These farmland have farm equipment such as tractors, storage buildings, silos, and horse stables are common to see. There are also occasional houses or small markets near dirt roads that cut through the farms. Some patches where no buildings are can also be small forests, usually about a square mile in size. Animals you may find in this level are birds such as robins, cardinals, sparrows, and other small birds, You will also find pigeons, doves, and occasional owls and hawks. Cicadas are common to hear along with other common insects you would find in an area such as the Ohio river valley. Deer and foxes can be found in and around the forest areas. The biggest threat here is not entities, but bees and wasps. There is said to be an unusually large amount of them. There are said to be a few animals that can only be found in this level. One are deer with 8 legs, and the size of cats. These spider-like deer are very friendly, but will steal your food. Another animal found here are rat-like creatures with 6 legs and 2 tails. The tails can stretch up to 2 feet long.
