Description
Level 11 before "The War"
Level 11 current state
Level 11, or "The City" is similar to the structure and size of Level 9, however instead of housing middle-class suburb houses it is populated with apartments, office buildings, hotels, hospitals, police departments, fire departments, motels, schools, train stations, and other additions found in the average American city. People have reported that It seems to have aspects and landmarks of several well known cities, Including, but not limited to: New York, Chicago, Los Angeles, St. Louis, and Toronto. Level 11 is also cluttered with parks, plazas, ice skating rinks, basket ball fields, and metro stations. There are multiple nuclear power plants throughout Level 11 and are usually present 40,000 kilometers apart, these plants do not appear to be operational. Although Level 11 seems stationary, movement while building are out of sight are quite common. The structure of Level 11 seems to be constantly shifting, and explorers have reported buildings moving hundreds of feet while out of sight. Facelings are extremely common, and can be found throughout all areas of the metro. Level 11 seems to have an effect on both adult/child Facelings and even Hounds making them neutral towards travelers, additionally this “passive effect” makes Facelings act as ordinary human beings. Death Moths, Crawlers, Observers and Smilers are rarely seen here, although the “passive effect” does not seems to effect these creatures . Pigeons can also be seen in this level, and this is the level you will see them the most. WiFi is present almost all throughout Level 11. Names of streets and intersections on Level 11 consist of letters and numbers with no identifiable pattern such as: "F505F0_5G". Almond Water can be found all throughout Level 11, with it being dispensed from water fountains and being stored in commercial freezers and soda vending machines (note that breaking into a vending machine will result in nearby Facelings becoming hostile). If you are looking for night-vision goggles, first aid kit, or packs of almond water, visit a store in Level 11. Most people have decided to live here as it's the closest thing to home. The group known as The Trollgers wander at night and it is highly advised to seek shelter if you hear them coming.
