Author's Note: If the M.E.G. sees this, please sound the alarm. Please, stop advertising Level 11 as some sustainable community — something's happened with the timeline. I don't know what's going on. This isn't the Level 11 I know. Our database isn't correct.
I entered through Level 9 as the database said. I don't understand. Why is the Level 11 description so… different now? I remember back when a group titled "The Combine" established a totalitarian state inside the level and the sky turned red. Now… everything seems… normal. No one seems to acknowledge the existence of any of these events, even though I know for a fact many current inhabitants in Level 11 must have lived through them. It's like… they never happened.
This archived log of Level 11 doesn't match our current data. What's going on? What happened to these… "events" that used to plague the city? Do they not exist anymore? Did they ever occur?
Please. Respond quickly. Level 11 might not be the safe place you think it is.
You wake up on the hot concrete, groggy and dizzy. Unaware of where you are, you curiously wander around the place, looking for another soul who could jog your memory back.
Unfortunately, you find nobody. Maybe they're all inside?
As loud as you can, you yell out, "Hello?"
Silence.
"Anyone there?"
More silence.
In fact, you hear nothing but your own echoes — unusual for a city landscape.
You want to go home…
But this is your new home.
Level 11 is the 12th level of the Backrooms.

Description
Level 11 consists of a completely empty city of indeterminate size. Buildings of various heights and sizes populate the level, interconnected by numerous roads and highway systems. In no recorded instances have two Wanderers ever made contact in this level; it is unknown whether this is an anomalous property that isolates those who enter, or if it is simply a result of the level's size.
Thus far, no entities have been discovered in Level 11. The only imminent risk to survival is the degradation of one's sanity as a result of the prolonged isolation. According to several reports, Level 11 evokes strong feelings of nostalgia in those who enter it — specifically those who grew up in an urban environment. It is theorized that the level may also have a minor reality-warping effect for those individuals, making the level moreso resemble the city of their upbringing.
All structures in Level 11 are essentially empty, only possessing occasional pieces of furniture or light fixtures. Sources of food in the level, however, are scarce. Pack food before entering — you'll be here a while… if not forever.
The structure of Level 11 seems to be constantly shifting, and explorers have reported buildings moving hundreds of feet while out of sig-
What do you think you're doing? I'm editing this page! Stop adding strikethrough to my edits!
Level 11 already exists. I don't understand what you're doing. Wanderers have certainly made contact there. I'm looking out my window and I see 50 people on the street.
Well, I'm in Level 11 and see absolutely nobody. I entered through Level 9, too.
So did I. You sure this is Level 11? I've lived here since June 2019. I know this level by heart.
Oh for fuck's sake, yes. Yes, I'm sure this is Level 11. Actually, I'd like to ask you something. Have you heard of "The Combine" group?
I'm afraid I have not. What are you getting at?
Well apparently, this place was renamed to "CITY-11" by them. They established a 9:00 PM curfew, enforcing it with an army. Their control lasted from January to June 2021. In addition, the sky turned red in April; Level 11 was destroyed.
To my knowledge, none of that ever happened.
Huh? The M.E.G. even sent out an alert to everyone. I remember that event clearly. How do you not remember it?
I assure you; nothing unusual's happened here.
Log retrieved from lost P.E.A. member.
Have I seen this place before?
No. What happened? What the hell happened?
This place was different.
Was it just a dream?
No, the buildings. They're not the same ones from Level 11 anymore.
There's nothing on the cars. Nothing in the buildings.
Where's the bustling community of Wanderers?
No. This isn't possible. This place has changed. Where the fuck am I?
This is some Mandela Effect shit — I swear to God.
Fuck this stupid database. There's no one here.
Last thing I remember, the sky was bloody red and city was in a post-apocalyptic state. Now the sky's back to normal color, but the buildings look off. Everyone's missing.
Our database doesn't mention this shit! Clearly, this event is news-worthy information to include in the level description!
Good gosh, I need to find a way out. My superiors are waiting for me.
[An unknown period of time passes]
The fuck? The P.E.A. doesn't even have a page on this database anymore. It has no archived page history either.
There's no fucking way. I worked for the P.E.A., and apparently, it never existed in the first place.
Shit. The sky's turning red again.
