Level 120 is the 121st level of the Backrooms.

Description

A photo taken of Level 120 by a stranded M.E.G. operative. Photographer presumed alive.

Level 120 appears to be a huge flat countryside. Notable is that the sky of this level has a light-purple tint and is always cloudy. Level 120 has an extraordinarily irregular Day/night cycle, with daytimes lasting from a couple of weeks to up to a month, and one night Lasting about 35 hours. After measurements, it is confirmed that the surface gravity of this level has an acceleration of about 13.27m/s², Making gravity approximately 1.4 times stronger the surface of Earth. The timeline of Level 120 is similair to that of Earth.

Level 120's Proportions are assumed to be approximately 560 to 612 Km² (348 to 380 Mi²) A clear edge is not visible, however whenever continuing walking the distance individuals will eventually find themselves standing where they began walking. One does not know where exactly a border is, due to the fact that walking in one straight line will match perfectly with the other side of the map, making it unnoticable whenever you're being teleported. This property can cause the insanity of humans to drop. However, it only appears to be at very small rates and whenever the fact is overthought. Houses are also common in this Level. Whilst most houses are seperated from the others and are of medium quality, there is one village located, which contains about buildings, including one church, a B&B and middle-sized warehouses being hugely stocked on food commonly found in The Frontrooms and other supplies. Houses in this villages primarily consist of High-quality detatched & semi-detached house.

Trees and grass are extremely common; they can be found all over the place and the wood of trees are extremely handy to have with you, as they are extremely well for building anything ranging from small accescories to whole outposts, and they can also be used as a fuel for a campfire whenever the wood is dry and unable to ignite other materials if not intended to do so. Small streams can rarely be found at the side of concrete roads, These streams have a seemingly endless supply of almond water streaming through it, meaning it never runs out of Almond Water. Please be aware to cook the Almond Water first before consuming it, as it may have deadly microbes contained within it.

Due to Level 120 being relatively dim, and it being cloudy invariably, the average temperature is about 7°C (44.5°F) and has a soft wind at all times, decreasing the wind chill to approximately 5°C (41°F). Due to Level 120's Habitable Conditions and how easy it is to enter & leave, it is very attractive for wanderers to visit this level, often to the point where they remain here permanently.

Buildings

There are five types of discovered buildings that can be found in this Level, these buildings are:

Farmhouses

Farmhouses are always included with a field with finished and succesful crops, which can be taken freely. The farmhouses themselves are of medium quality, including resistance to intense winds. The Wi-Fi in these houses are present, but are slow and will occasionally shut down by themselve. Whenever such happens, the present Wi-Fi router has to be manually restarted. Farmhouses are never within a 250m² (2691ft²) radius to another type of building. Farmhouses are the most common out there in Level 120 when looked at in quantities.

Detatched Houses

Detatched houses are most populair and wanted by Wanderers. Detatched houses are steady and nearly always stocked on consumable supplies. Detatched houses are found in the village, however, they can also be rarely found in the middle of a field. Detatched houses have the fastest Wi-Fi connection of all discovered buildings present, which Wi-Fi that seldom to never cuts out.

Semi-Detatched Houses

Semi-Detatched Houses are the most common type of house within the village. They are of descent quality with the strongest point being the Wi-Fi. The Wi-Fi in this house is a little slow, but has never been confirmed to cut out at random moments, even during any events occuring. Semi-Detatched Houses contain large foods and drinks.

Warehouses

All warehouses on Level 120 are middle-sized and have a great internet connection. Warehouses are most populair amongst larger groups and colonies due to their extraordinarily amount of supplies, especially Almond-related items. These items include but are not limited to Almond Water, Almond Cake, Almond Cheese and Almond Caramels. Aside from only that, they also contain nutritious foods commonly found in the frontrooms.

Churches

Only one church is located within Level 120. It is the center of the village and it emits an unknown substance in the gaseous state, making people feel hope whenever entering this chruch. An agreement is made that the Church will not be a part of any kind of organisation whatsoever and will become a symbol of peace within this level.

Events

Intense Winds

Every 3~4 years, Windspeeds will begin to rise. Rising with approximately 20 Kph (12.4 Mph) until it peakes around 451 Kph (280 Mph), remaining like so for about 5½ days in total before decreasing to it's original windspeed within 15 minutes. Prebuilt buildings are to be sheltered in as they are able to resist the intense windspeeds via unknown methods. The wind cannot enter the house n'either, thus meaning it is possible to keep your front door open without getting any damage.

Wildfires

Rarely, a tree might ignite itself via unknown methods, There is a 100% change that these fires will spread to other trees and grass. The Amount of time howlong a wildfire lasts is seemingly random, but hasn't ever exceeded above the duration of 4 months. Wildfires will be garunteed to make at least One casualty. Which are, again, seemingly random picked humans. After the wildfires have ended, all damaged objects will gradually heal by themselves.

Sudden Starvation

Multiple times a decade all food, water and other consumable sources will what is described as "vanish into thin air": All consumables will dissapear. No-one knows where it went; recording with slo-mo footage has been proven useless, as it is confirmed that all will go away in an instant without any process.

Colonies and Outposts

Despite the near-infinite resources and Level 120 being relatively safe, the amount of organisations present are low, as many people here prever to stock up and care for themselves. Though this does not mean there are no communities at all. The present outposts include:

M.E.G. Base Omega

  • 358000 Members in total.
  • Friendly Towards Wanderers.
  • Willing to Trade.
  • Provides shelters for wanderers.

Backroom Colonists: Outpost Flatland-Survivors

  • 624000 Members in total.
  • Friendly Towards Wanderers.
  • Willing to Trade.
  • Provides shelters for wanderers.

Backroomians Outpost Garden Fort

  • 985000 Members in total.
  • Friendly Towards Wanderers.
  • Willing to Trade.
  • Provides shelters for wanderers.

Do's and Dont's

Do:

  • Stay in buildings, preferably in the village. They can function greatly as shelters.
  • Stock up on supplies. They are common in here and neccesary for your survival.
  • Join colonies and outposts who will keep you safe and will be friends with you.

Don't:

  • Consume anything from houses with their housenumbers ending with the last digit of "4" or "9". Consumables in these houses will automatically rot by unknown means.
  • Stay in the forests, You will become likely to become a casualty whenever a wildfire occurs.
  • Assume it is completely free of danger. It is only like so if you stay sated and hydrated & Keep caution with the above listed Events.
  • Overthink. It causes an increased amount of stress, lowering anybody's sanity.

Entrances and Exits

Entrances:

  • Attempt to Lucid-dream in Any level. After succeeding to do so, Create a portal "Leading to peace" directly behind you and walk directly backwards into it Without looking behind your back. This will have a 40% change of you waking up near an Almond Water stream in Level 120
  • Walking through a Bright-orange door in The Hub will lead you to This Level.

Exits:

An image of the cliff structure that leads to level 453. Photographer presumed alive.

  • Walking for 34 kilometers (21.1 Miles) straight forward without any stopping via any point or direction will lead you to a blue shed. After entering this shed, the individual will pass out and wake up on a level with a Survival Difficulty of 3 or less.
  • Within the village, there is a singular bright-blue painted house. Upon entering it, an the individual will pass out and find him/herself standing up straight in Level 475
  • A painted, concrete structure with a barred door can be discovered within a short cliff. This cliff is easy to find due to it being the only raised natural feature on level 120. when the structure is entered by someone, the individual will be taken to level 453.
  • In one farmhouse, a caution tape is wrapped around it. Upon entering this building one will be transported towards level 565.
